MSE News: Banks put PPI claims on hold in defiance of regulator

As usually happens on here there is stuff in news that people find on google and for some reason known only to themselves, usually historically it has been that people have lost jobs etc e.g. stopping selling PPI so redundancies. etc etc. We have seen it all on here people being aggressive and rude to those people on here who spend many hours each day helping others and supporting them, (I do not count myself as one as my post count as you will see is quite small) even so it is more than yours. Do not be rude and dismissive of regulars on here that are not paid or have nothing to gain just knowledge they have gained over the years.
Marshallka is in no way any of the stupid names you have afforded her although I think if you put a W on the beginning of your name that would sum you up.
You beat me to it:A0 -

go knock on your neighbours door and ask them about ppi and the banks blocking it... they will say !!!!!! are you on about?
claims companies who are pilloried on here, have done more to bring awareness than anybody else with their tv adverts on daily.

i brought this issue up 5 weeks ago on here, and nobody was bothered.
i asked for martin to investigate... as per the norm, do nothing until after the event.

I personally have a feeling that public awareness and awareness to the FSA/FOS etc has been made already (with help of sites like this one which I feel I have not been lazy on or self indulgent lol!!) and its just a matter of time now!!!!
Just who's side the FSA were really on now... the banks or the consumers with legitimate solid complaints? Only time will tell and they will hardly just be able to ignore the rule book altogether.
I am still looking at this as a "positive" thing and I think the banks will lose. The FSA could then ask that they redress "everyone" without the need for complaints going to FOS, after all most people are complaining about the same thing here.
Just my view... you are entitled to yours!!!
Sites like this are great for giving people information, but it needs a more "in your face" approach. How about a website is created called wehatelloyds.com? People can post their grumblings and stories, sign a petition and fill in a Santander C/A application form. The referral fee from Santander should cover the cost of the site and that site could declare itself "advert free" just like this one...
Ryanair have just been to court to to try and close down a site called Ihateryanair.com based along the same lines.0 -
