there is a pending line right at the bottom of your online statement0

after the initial deposit has anybody ever tried to do a CHAPS transfer to your Icesave account from your linked bank account, rather than the tortuous DD pull route?
With their admirable and prompt raising of the rate I'm considering moving a decent sum to my Icesave account and would like to know if I can shift the money on a same day transfer or if I have to wait while the DD wheels grind slowly through the system
Thanks in advance for any feedback.0 -

Today I decided to test a withdrawral, and went through the process.
I gave the final click to confirm everything and the next screen went back to the welcome page.
I was expecting to see something like "transaction approved" or something similar.
Is this the normal thing or has the transaction failed.
It`s OK having a great interest rate but if you can`t get at your money when you need to,what`s the point.
Look on your account you will see at the bottom of your screen a future transactions section in here will be the transaction you just did. If its not there you pressed exit transaction rather than the continue button. 1) When you are mid-transaction, be sure to click 'Continue' rather than 'Exit transaction'.
2) Once you 'confirm', you are taken back to the 'Account Summary' screen, and then you can scroll down to view your future/pending transactions.
3) To view retrospectively, if you have logged out, you should log in and click on 'view statement', then scroll down as above.0 -
Looks like it`s gone through.
When it arrives at my other bank on Wed/Thurs, I`ll then be happy to really top up with Icesave.
Having a bad experience with both EGG and Cahoot has taught me to test the system with a small amount first before plunging in.

justaquickie wrote:Was this issue of "when the money to be invested into Icesave by DD actually has to be in the linked account" clarified? If the transfer arrival date is some point in the future do I need to have the money languishing in the linked account 3 working days prior? or if not, when? Seems very woolly but consequences might be painful if you get it wrong. Anyone know/help please?
Looking back at my statements I've moved money from my current (nominated) account to Icesave three times. Each time the money seemed to be debited from the current account on the same day the money appeared on my Icesave statement. I hope this means that we can leave the money in other accounts until a day before the transfer "affects" the icesave account.0 -
