OK, thanks. That's what I tried first time, so maybe I just got the numbers wrong - I'll give it another try next time they ask for the date.Stompa0 -

True. Well, 'give or take a bit'.0 -
You can change these memorable details.
The online facility just wants an alphanumeric string between 8 and 12 characters long; so your date doesn't have to be a date at all.
Lots of banking websites require memorable information. I consider this as a second password and treat it as such.
+ remember to change these things regularly.0 -
Just tried to open an account- it wouldn't accept my driving licence number or passport number. At 5th attempt got it to accept my passport number. I rang up to query this and was on hold for around 6 mins - this doesnt bode well. And now having completed the form I still have to send two forms of id, even though I have lived in the same house for 27 years.
Dont think I will bother going any further as I was very unimpressed with cs guy who kept calling me 'miss' even though he asked my name.0 -

My £5 says you forgot to add the 'extreme RHS end part' of your passport number. Have a look at it again at the bottom of the page. It is actually exactly 30 digits long, including the RHS two digits bit at the end.0 -

You'd have lost! - I carefully counted and added the 2 x00 at the end. As I said I tried 5 times and it worked on the 5th time0 -
:-)
OK OK OK! Get over it. :-)
Anyhow, I'll give £5 to my favourite charity for you. :-)0 -
