Do you mean the minimum monthly DD is £100?
2) No, there is no compulsion. Rather it is flexible - you can choose when to make deposits, and the value. However that value must be at least £100 per deposit.0 -

1. Welcome pack took one week to arrive
2. When logged on, my Icesave account was not set up but my linked current account is. As a result, I was unable to transfer funds into the Icesave account online.
I had the exact same experience.
I sent them an email then after two days phoned them up.
I tried explaining the scenario of being able to log in yet not having an account despite receiving all the details. I got off the phone as IT were to look into it. I tried 5 minuites later and it was working.
One thing I felt awkward about was that the operator wanted to log in as me so she could experience the problem first hand. I didnt want to give my secret details and I suggest that if others are asked you do not either.
Even though you only need to disclose part of your keywords I dont think this is an acceptable practise with fraud so prevalent.0 -

So, lets say I got access to your account's 'secret' details. Sure, I could find out how much money you have in the account but how would I go about getting my hands on your money? It can only be transferred to the linked account. I think you're safe !!0 -

If you're happy giving out your passwords then good luck.
Linked accounts can be added and deleted at any point. Therefore your argument is invalid.0 -
So Whaling issues aside... what is the general concenus on Icesave? Good or bad?
So the first deposit is £250 then you have to put in a min of £100 per month. Does this have to be 'every' month and can you only put money in via DD?

Have I missed something a £100 a month Where does it say that ?"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

I don't believe it does say that. I can't find a reference online, but in 'The guide' (the booklet sent on opening the account) it says: "The minimum additional deposit is £100 and you can add to your savings whenever you like.".Stompa0 -

No, you don't have to deposit a min. of £100 a month - you can make a deposit whenever, but if you do so it must be for a minimum of £100 - I assume to make the admin. worthwhile.
My understanding atm is that deposits must be made by dd, although I have not got a definitive answer regarding the possibility of cheques.0
