  • I am really impressed. I have logged on already. This is one very straightforward and easy-to operate account

I am going to max my savings in here and my dh too
  • Touchdown! Accessed and up and running. :j

BTW Seagles, there was the option to make the initial deposit by electronic transfer, using a sort code, account and reference they provided.

However I half had the impression you could only do this once, and in future they would prefer funds to be 'pulled' in rather than 'pushed' in.

    Time will tell.

My welcome pack and other information arrived today as well. All the letters are hand signed. Nice touch. Very impressive!

Edit: All we need now is for egg to update the moneymanager.

If it's anything like I***I, (and I see no reason why it shouldn't be,) then I don't think they can stop you - all you need is a sort code and account number for the account and you can push to your hearts content from any account that allows standing orders.

I think eWise will get there first ;) I'll give it 2 months at least, judging from how long it took them to include I****I
    Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries

Trying to do that now, got the sort code, acc no and ref no but no payee name provided? what should i put in the payee name box as my online banking wont let me make a payment without a payee name

    Your own name. ;)

I did mine via Nationwide, and it arrived safely yesterday.

Most financial institutions (inc building society's and internet banks) use accounts at the major banks for these sorts of purposes.

Newcastle use 235954 for their own purposes which is also from Barclays Bank

Also, I think Landsibank are using the same IT systems as Newcastle - just look at the account number that they issue - its a classic building society format (xxx 1234567 ABC) where the last 3 letters are based on your surname and the first 3 are the account type

Nobody designing their own banking IT systems these days would use such a old fashioned method for numbering accounts..
