Sorry for this being off topic, although I am aware that all of mine have been over the last 2 days. This post would probably be better in the health section but although it doesn't relate directly to a medical condition I would like to ask a question and didn't want to break any rules on there.

Is there any way of finding out about a person't immunity to certain drugs? I know the treatment of my neck is in the early stages and so the diagnosis or dose may be incorrect. However one of the sets of tablets I have been given are strong painkillers and the other a muscle relaxant and I am not feeling much better with either. My mum highlighted something from her pregnancy with me and I was wondering if you can develop an immunity to certain medicines. Does anyone know of any websites etc I could find out to see if this is the case?

I'd be very cautious about doing searches on the internet - lots of signs & symptoms are fairly generic, and can all to easily be linked to unrelated issues, so searching for drug immunity is unlikely to be helpful. You've only been on the meds a day or two, is that right? Some drugs take a few days to reach the therapeutic dose, so you may need to be patient (!) a while yet. Sorry, I know that's probably not what you want to hear.

    hugs

onestep I know I am just being impatient and I know what you mean about the net too. I was just hoping that I would have had a bit more relief by now. Never mind

2 mg tablets, 1 three times a day. I know the doctor said it could take a week for everything to get back to normal so I guess I just have to wait. Anyway I will go back to lurking so I don't get any mules thrown at me, I wouldn't be able to duck fast enough to miss them :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi All,
Had a grotty morning and night with the gallstones starting off by just poking me in the side to remind me of their presence to full on pain. Caved in and took my medication and went back to bed with my wheat bag, cat and book which seemed to help. Its still niggling but I can stand upright now so am trying to ignore it as best i can.
If anyone needs any guidance on breast checks there is lots of info if you search google for breast cancer care. Not sure about linking to the site but it is a uk one, did consider putting it in my signature but i checked and i found out i cannot but google will take you there.

Right flying.. well took mum for her flu jab, ran her up to the bank and sainsburys and then came back and hit the kitchen...
