Aww AJ hun, have a very gentle hug from me, I hope your head/neck pain eases hun. Sounds dreadful, do you think the doctor has a clear idea what it is or do you just think they're fobbing you off sweetie?

Feel a bit queasy myself today, there seems to be allsorts of nasty virus's about, hoping I haven't picked anything up.

Today I plan to concentrate on the kitchen later and catch up with my recording.

  • AJ have you thought about seeing someone other than your doctor about your neck pain? I only ask cause my doctor was useless about my back pain and just shoving stronger and stronger painkillers at me, but went to an osteopath and am almost back to normal now, hope you feel better soon and the best advice I was given was to take painkillers before i needed them.

I've never really suffered with pain before so have nothing to compare it with. Before I saw the doctor yesterday I thought it would be something more but I am willing to see how today goes. I still think it is getting worse but maybe that's because I don't have anything to take my mind off it. I have a couple of things to look up on the net about immunity to some medicines, something my mum mentioned on the phone last night. I had to stop talking to her quite quickly because I couldn't cope with it. Meant to be going to stay with them this weekend as it is my mum and niece's birthdays but at the moment that is fading into the distance which is a bit disappointing. At least I have another appointment tomorrow and because of the way it works I won't be seeing the same doctor so it will be a second opinion.

Anyway, I am trying not to get too down, there are many people far worse than me, I am just feeling sorry for myself.

ETA Seafarers_wife I am taking what they have prescribed for me. Medical care is a bit awkward for me, I am in the forces but we are a very small base with a limited medical department. The docs only work Mon, Wed and Fri mornings although the surgery they all come from are nearby. My care is free and should really be referred through them or I am not entitled to be signed off from work. As I said above I am willing to trust them for now, if it is no better and they don't do anymore tomorrow then I will get my hierarchy involved.

  • Well I will be on with the list when I get back from the Dr's. Taking Alfie as think he has a chest infection :( Don;t like it when little ones are poorly, doesn't seem fair.

Hugs all round as especially gentle ones to everyone else not feeling too good this morning.

(P.S. thanks from me for the oven cleaning task, I was secretly hoping for that this week too!)

Have made a start on today's list, but feeling a bit unwell again. Seems like the cold I had a couple of weeks ago is making a comeback. I'll get some paracetamol in a minute and take some time to sit on the sofa. Have loads of knitting to do so I won't be idle.

    Have a good day
