Good morning everyone :beer:fedupandskint wrote: »Pen - I felt so tired this afternoon at work, I came home and ate a lot of sweets instead of tea to self medicate for some reason. Not helped really as the exOH brought round 3 boxes of sweets last night for a present. Is trying to put weight on me? Ate the chocolate nougat and bag of torpedoes. Putting the box of Thorntons out of the way for now as feeling a bit too full of sugar now. Good job I went for a run this morning.
I did my 18mile cycle to and from work yesterday and today - not suer it will make up for the chocolate, wine and slice of HM apple crumble pie (no cream though :rotfl: )oh dear, yesterday i was making gingerbread for the first time and instead of using tsp i used tbs, im usually a very competent baker aswell ! not sure how i can "recycle" a gingerbread loaf with 2 tbs of bicarb instead of tsp lol , however today im sure i shant make the same mistake with the bara brith recipe
If you had doubled up the ginger, I'd ask you to push it this way
It's friday :j so I'm off to get ready for work:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Morning all!
SO! tired yesterday, felt like I hadn't slept all weekend but I had. We had DD2 birthday party on Sunday afternoon, so havnig worked till 7:30pm on Saturday I was making cakes and sandwiches etc for the party and then entertaining 22 8yr olds till 6pm on Sunday. Then it was back to ours for present opening and watching of Xfactor etc.
Yesterday I was on an Early which while isn't as early a start as a normal hospital shift is, still means I have to leave home at 7:30am. God knows how I am gonna cope on Friday I have to be in Coventry for 6:45am!!! I am hopefully (knocks on wood) going to go into theatre to see a kidney transplant op!!!! Very exciting.
So ---- not much flying done yesterday as such. WM was utilised along with TD and a batch of cake mixture was decluttered by both myself and DD2 (she needs cakes for Brownies tomorrow for her hostess badge) We will be icing said cakes tonight after all her visitors have gone - she has reached the grand old age of 8 today! DH hoovered, mowed the lawn and cleaned the back garden up from the dogs efforts and I s&s the kitchen as I supervised the cooking endeavours and took photos for evidence. lol.
So I have work again today till 3pm, then it will be home to do a quick whizz round the lounge and dining room and get the wm on again. I have a pile of ironing to do but that will have to wait till later in the week. I am off this weekend so plan to power-fly then!
Hope everyone is feeling well and happy this morning, I am off to start my Mr Ts delivery order now, its pay day Friday so the big shop needs ordering.Donna

Sorry to say that I don't feel any better today. I had an angry tearful moment with OH last night which didn't make me feel any better but I think made him realise just how much I am hurting. I am hoping that maybe the medication will start taking effect today although I am not too positive on that. I think I can safely say that I am not likely to be back in work this week which is a shame as a friend and I were planning a leaving do for someone tomorrow and I won't get to see him before he leaves now, will just have to see him quickly at work in the morning before I go back to the docs.
I won't be doing much today, might see if I have the energy for a bath later.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1931.07/£2700

OH in bed sleeping, he looked really tired when he got back at 7.15am this morning.
As I was leaving the house for work, the cat was sneeking upstairs, so I guess my now he is asleep on the bed.
Boobies checked no lumps here, thanks for the reminder.
Hob cleaned
Kitchen sides and floor cleaned
Oven itself will have to wait till the weekend, and then only once OH has woken up, as I just know I cannot clean that quietly!!
Hugs

Yes he did like it PenPen. I think Hull might be his first choice - it's not too far away and their Psychology Dept is highly regarded.
We are going to look at Lincoln Uni on the 30th...that doesn't have such a good reputation but DS insists that's because it's a relatively new uni.
I think I've managed to persuade him to live in for the first year at least...he's only looking at unis within commutable distance tho. I've told him I'll be fine - I'm planning on getting a cat and some chickens for company...:)
I think you must be working in the same office as me PenPen, morale is stupendously low. One colleague simply burst into tears last week as she'd had enough. On a positive note for myself I should find out on Thursday whether I've got a job at another Centre which will bring my hours back to I-can-manage-financially range. Fingers crossed.
ooo yeah...flying. The WM is on, the red bin is out, DS has been decluttered to college til 4pm. and I'll get dressed in a minute.
My progress is V-E-R-Y slow but there is progress, and what gets cleared stays cleared...which now means half the kitchen worktop is usable, and the hotspot by my fave chair is always sorted. Other piles of gibble are slowly shrinking...in fact the hoover is slowly appearing from under one pile....does that mean that I'm going to have to use it. *ducking quickly in case Pigpen is reading*
Hoping you all have a good day. I think you are all amazing.
Much love to all
