Unless work tools are specifically covered on your policy as named items they aren't covered.. we had it with KH's tools.. they had to be named on the house insurance in order to be covered.. they weren't even covered on work insurance in case of a break-in.. so it was fortunate I checked and made sure they were on the house insurance because when there was a break-in at work and someones tools were stolen the company didn't actually have insurance! Out buildings such as sheds are not routinely covered either ergo the contents. These are things I always check on my policies.

Need to get OH's new laptop on the house insurancce this week too..

    hello ladies

thought I better pop in and say hello. Didnt have computer access for most of last week but flew with one wing so felt like I was going round in circles. Am going to flutter this week and just try and keep on top of stuff.

Have tonight done a massive clear up of Dd's council tip so will see how long that lasts and will have to have a go over our room tomorrow as Dd threw every item of clothing on the floor in disgust after I threw all hers on the floor telling her it might as well all be there anyway :o oops

Hope everyone is doing well, am just going for a browse but love and hugs to all in the mean time x
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Any single item valued at more than about £1000/£1500 is worth mentioning.. we had laptops, bikes, tools, outbuildings and freezer contents on ours.. and spectacles.. when a pair of specs is costing in excess of £150 they are mentioned on there!

    List up for tomorrow..

  • In please this week... way behind everyone else... not the best start ever. It's my son's 5th birthday tomorrow - this is the first year he's been properly excited about it. Plus the presents start to get interesting too (love playmobil!). It will be a weird week, DH off work for son's bd and we usually bicker but I love him at the moment because he reminded me to record New America's Next Top Model. Bless him.

Well, that's my brain dump... thank you ladies (and gents?), as always xx
