At the end of the day it is your life KP but lending OH money - are you mad!!! Surely separating means that you move and are financially independent in the majority. As you said he has most of the money so surely should be sorting out a car for himself and if he cant afford it then he cant have it? Please, please use some of your pay rise to have some councelling to help you sort the wood from the trees - not just with OH but with your mum as well. Can recomment it for getting your head straight. Thankfull work paid for a fair bit of mine (last session this week) but I will continue with same one in new year as also need to have some help sifting stuff so not implring you do to sommat I wouldnt myself!
As alway happy to have a natter on the phone if that would help although can only promise that it will be of the true friend/tough love variety!!
Meanwhile a huge well done on the money and a big hang in there hug! Re your teeth - have they suggested a bite raising appliance? Could be that (like me) you are grinding your teeth? Very unsexy but does help with headaches etc!

  • KP how about enjoying Christmas with all the yummy food that's around and then maybe think about starting a healthy eating plan in the New Year, that way you won't feel guilty everytime a mince pie passes your lips.
Enjoy this Christmas and make it one for your children to remember with happy memories.
It's your first Christmas in your new life :)

Thank you---I dont (meant to say I DO) appreciate the tough love ISO. I do think I get lost so easily.

Had the first xmas do on Thursday. Was fun but got to brum on train to see a blizzard. Wanted to take taxi but told only 4 mons walk.... 20-30 mins later go to the apartment  The evening was fun though not much walking after that. Lost count of no of drinks but all free and even though got to bed at 2.30 I felt fine in the morning. Then took 3 hours to get back home due to train probs!

Xmas pay in today so account looks healthy. Want to try and pay off £1000 natwest CC this month as its on normal ie too high interest rate. Dont think Im going to get much back from OH :( as the new car needs an engine rebuild or new engine so he is very miserable.

Managed to catch a cold although just a cough, sore throat and aching shoulders for now Im sure the rest will follow .

  • You look after yourself KP. I was off work 3 days last week. Started with a sore throat, aching bones. Ended up on antibiotics with a chest infection. Make sure you keep warm and maybe a good excuse for a few hot toddies :)
    Hope the baptism went well.

  • Well thought it was on the wain yesterday but the snezzing has just started. Not too bad though. Sorry to hear about the chest infection Dizzie. Never had one of those I cant imagine how rough that must make you feel.

Baptism went well not many made it due to the snow and I didnt brave going back to Sis's afterwards.

Work today still got reports to write before I can fully rest for Xmas. Thankfully nothing more to get except OH pressie which may or may not get to the store for pick up. I have been using the COOP (next door) but OH has been to Tescos and apparently its mayhem. Think I will hole up here at the flat some more!

  • Me and OH have just been into one of our local town centres and a 15 minute journey home has taken us almost an hour. Traffic is really bad though I suppose some of it is tea time traffic.
Have you got a CO-OP members card? It's free to join and every now and then I get £3 to £5 in vouchers just for buying in there the odd time. It all adds up KP.
Glad the baptism went well. Shame about people not getting there but it can be very dangerous in the snow can't it?
The chest infection is getting better. My voice has been sooooo croaky, sounds a bit sexy really lol Hate antibiotics but have got to take them :-(
Wrap up warm and you relax KP. Hot cup of tea, feet up and get the soaps on...bliss. Oh I'm easily pleased can't you tell :)
Hope you feel better soon huni and don't venture out unless you really have to.
