  • Out of the blue I finally got the promotion so very happy. No change to job just much better pay so hope I can really start eating into those debts although OH isnt helping.

Tough weekend as I was out last week with work and even though I dont live with him as we are still trying to be together he threw s jealous fit. Didnt help that he had toothache with infection so had to bite my tougue or I would have walked out.

:T Yay well done KP on the job promotion. That should really give your confidence a boost.
As for OH I'm same as Beanie and saying 'nowt' but you know what we'd like to say ;)
Sounds like you're having some real quality time now with your children...enjoy it all. You deserve it.

great news on the promotion ..well done x
as for the other half I'm saying nowt either x
  • Well I have to admit OH was right about his family what idiots

FIL has turned around and said I am not welcome Christmas day and that OH BIL agrees !!!!!! (At least we dont cheat on each other...). His family have barely spoken to him since the move. Dont know why we did it and that things are so much better than before. The kids are happy. They just think I have abondoned the family.Do they really think I would not spend xmas day with the kids? Thankfully OH wasnt not impressed and had a go and said if I wasnt welcome then he and kids wouldnt either.

I shouldnt brood but it really hurts that if it wasnt for me OH wouldnt ever bother with his family. I have been part of their lives for 15 years do they not know me? I was and am genuinly upset at the thought of losing step FIL. It one of the reasons I had to change things I have lost too many close ralitives and family friends over the years.

Anyways work ok and xmas shopping pretty much all done with 1 bithday pressie to buy and a few more to wrap. Still need to buy an xmas tree then raid the house xmas decorations as we had/have loads.

Money wise not good and OH still short on cash so I need to work out how much he owes so he can pay it back over the next few weeks. Had my first electric bill in £126 for just under three months so not too bad.

Hope you all well got to go and pick DD2 up so back soon

bargain on the tree and baubles
  • Aw KP that must hurt regarding OHs family. But it sounds like you've made the right decision and as long as you and the children are happier then that's all that matters :)
Well done on the bargains too.

  • Thanks guys I am surprised at their reaction it has upset me.

Anyways as we all say onwards and upwards. As per ISOM I also need to tackle the remaining CC balance and then build up some savings to clear the loans or maybe a deposit. Trouble is Im too much in the live for the day mentality at the mo. Kids still want to go abroad for hols as we didnt go on hols this year. So tempting so Im not promising to be a perfect moneysaver but to stay in control and heading in the right direction :).

So need to lo the lose weight thing too :(.
