Buffy - try helping them focus on what is good about themselves and their life. Help them feel self confident and to have self worth, if you can.
Remind them the behaviour of their ex was the ex's decision and choices, it is about the ex not them.

Just got back from my choir rehearsal and DS and I are watching The Da Vinci Code (again). Such a good film, although my mother thinks it's black magic and blasphemy.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

Aww Buffy, I feel like I should have something helpful to say about bouncing back from being cheated on, but it took me almost 18 months to trust anyone properly again after Shrek. It is really hard to let someone touch your heart knowing they could break it, particularly when you know the pain of your heart being ripped out, cut into pieces with a blunt spoon, forced through a blender and handed back to you in a leaky carrier bag.
I had wonderful friends (you lot)who listened for hours as I got it all out of my system and gave me honest but kind advice, realising I was close to the edge. That was what I needed more than anything.
It only gets better if you make a conscious and rational decision to let it go and risk trusting someone again. In my case, I tried to trust someone else too soon and it was the wrong person. But even so, it taught me that I can recover from the pain of loving someone who treats you badly. Having it happen again hurt so much, but it made me less afraid, not more afraid. It made me more certain that hearts heal, if you let them. Letting them is the hardest part, but it is the part you are in control of."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Thanks Snaggs xx
its a risk we all have to take I guess and I have totally avoided it. I will just listen for now. only just got off the phone to my other friend, still not made lunch and as much as I adore my friend, I wish I had said I would ring her back!

I sent them last week Kayleigh
If you haven't had them by the end of the week I will send another lot and claim back off Royal Mail.
What day did you send them on? Post seems to take forever to get to me here, 1st Class really doesn't mean what it used to any more. I'll see if they land tomorrow and I'll check the parcel shelf and around the hallway for 'Sorry, you were out' cards, in case they already came and I just didn't notice the card at the time. Don't worry about it, I'm sure they'll turn up.

Exactly! It's terrible these days! Even I'm old enough to remember when 1st Class meant next day delivery.
