Me too, until the local council decided it was an offence to do so and made it so you had to put the numbers in your car reg into the machine before you could buy your ticket, or which parking bay you were in.Tight bastids.

Just means that you have to pick a car registered within the same 6 month period as yours.

Sucks for people with older cars though.

For parking bay ones, stick it on the armco.

In car parks I like the people who give you their tickets for the pay and display machine, and I also do likewise. If nobody is available I will stick it over the coin slot for someone to find.

Yep! I do like that! Most car parks have big signs saying tickets not transferrable etc. What a rip off - you pay for time in a parking space, what does it matter who's car is in there? Of course they rely on over-selling the spaces!

i'd like to thank the unmarked police car that was overtaking me on the m1 between jct 40 and 39, who proceeded to pull a speeding mondeo that overtook the both of us.
good work, you took another moron off the road.

i'd also like to thank another police range rover on the m621 who pulled over a woman in an mx5 because she was driving in the middle lane. the RR had been following her for ages, then got fed up and pulled her over.

    you guys are the beans.

i agree to an extent, except when the person who wants to pass a ticket over gives it to a guy driving a 4.2 TDI Q7, who can clearly afford the £3 all day parking charge, instead of me. who can't.

As a motorcyclist, I always put a hand up to thank drivers who move over to make a bit of room. So thanks for being one of the drivers who does it.

I also like drivers who, when they are moving over for a motorbike, either give a couple of flashes on their indicators, or stay over for a couple of seconds so that I know they aren't just weaving about while they look for a CD, or something.

I like it, when I'm driving to the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport, there is a road that has a bus lane that is only actually active for a few hours each day as indicated by the clearly marked sign at the start of the bus lane and various points along it.

Most drivers choose to leave the bus lane free and join the stationary queue in the right hand lane, even when it is not active, so I can drive straight down, have right of way at the merge point and get to my appointments on time. Thanks everybody.:rotfl:
  • I like it when people give way to me when I'm on my bike at the 'Priority over oncoming vehicles' pinchpoints, instead of assume I can squeeze through the gap their car doesn't occupy.

Hang on a minute. Those pinchpoints are supposed to have little bypass lanes for bikes.

Either you're not using it properly or whoever designed it was an idiot who forgot to include the lane and you need to complain to the council.
