Meerustar I remember how awful they were to you and how dignified you were in your responses. Cannot believe they PMed you as well- that makes me so angry on your behalf. Please please don't let those morons (I'm thinking of one in particular) put you off posting here- you've been through a lot and you will find the support you need on here.
Like SS said before, these people are just muppets who need to put other people down to make themselves feel good. You didn't deserve any of that abuse :mad:Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24

I've started a thread in DT but am tempted to post it in all the boards! :think:0

i'm only a part-time DFW (don't have much debt - just on a very small income, trying to make sure i stay afloat and don't get into any, so can't be a proper nerd!)..... I loiter on the OS and student boards mostly. i really like reading everyone sigs - it is so so impressive to see the debt totals go down. i'm so embarassed that people on other boards would even dream of picking a fight like that. what makes up for the idiots are the responses from other people spelling out just how stupid and unhelpful their comments are!:happyhear0

            Evening all
Please remember if you ever see anyone being nasty to a forum user about their DFW sig please please make sure you report them to the forum team (for newbies - click the red triangle on the post or send a copy of the pm to abuse@moneysavingexpert.com) and they'll get a huge wrist-slapping from us.
Your DFW sigs are one of the best bits about the forum - Martin loves them - and the more you post with them in your sig on other boards the more you'll be spreading the word and showing others it really can be done.
The only issue that should legitimately be mentioned is if they're a bit too big, which can sometimes disturb the flow but that can just be sorted by making sure the font size isn't too large, it's not a problem.
Keep up the good work everyone
 Take care

What a lovely message Andrea. I'm one of the ones who got ticked off about my too-large signature hence my new 4 liner. It's good to hear Martin likes reading them and doesn't despair of us hence my new 4 liner. I think a public flogging would set more of an example! 0 0

I must admit it never occurred to me that other boards may be nasty about sigs. I always thought that moneysavingexpert.com members wanted to save money and if you are in debt or not we save money... which is the point of the board... isn't it??!! Ciggie free 2am 21/09/06. I'm a bit thick whwn it comes to stuff like this. Didn't know you could hide your sig. Wasn't that worried about it until recently - but I've been telling every living soul about this site and those who know me well would probably be able to identify me.
Many of my friends know that I am trying to get rid of my debt but no-one knows the amount. It does worry me a bit so in future I will hide my sig on other forums.
Sorry if that sounds bad but I am embarassed and ashamed of the amount of debt I'm in.0

I'm gonna be really hypocritical here. No-one but you guys on here know about my debt.
But......you have made a mistake and now you are doing your damn hardest to sort it out. That takes guts and courage so don't be ashamed or embarassed. 0 0
