    sorry but :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:that's exactly what my Blobby Bread looked like, a giant deformed mushroom with a squared-off stem :rotfl:

    you should have taken a pic :D I promise I will if I have any more epic fails of my own :A

    spookily :eek: my daughter has just this minute texted me asking what she needs to make cornbread! she's going to a Canadian Thanksgiving (seems they celebrate earlier than the USA) & everyone's bringing along a dish

    I've seen recipes involving chilli & cheese & other stuff like that, surely those can't be sweet?

    I wish I had taken a pic now!:rotfl:It was action stations though to try to save it.........I didn't! But the kids still ate some of the centre with melted choc on..........sad!

    Wow, what a coincidence with the cornbread. chilli/cheese would be great. I like food with a kick:drool:. I think I would prefer it with a more savoury edge.

    What are you like.............guru Swan! You always turn up the answers!:A

    guru Swan :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I like it :D

    does this mean I'll have to change my avatar again? :think: very undignified with my beak stuck in that Nutella jar :naughty:

    I have a recipe for Jamie Oliver's Chilli Cheese Cornbread, I haven't tried it myself, but have seen some reviews that rave about it

    I can't post it on the open forum because of copyright issues, & can't seem to find a link on-line, but I could PM you the recipe?

    I'm going to make some sun dried tomato bread this weekend. Picked up a pack of dried toms in sazbugs the other day, but now i've read the recipe book, it says to use those in olive oil - bah :mad:

    could you give them a soak?

    maybe pour some boiling water over then once they've softened a bit mix in some oil?

    the kneading action will break the tomatoes up once they're in the mix, they just need to be softened so you're not getting chewy lumps
    I only know this because I tried it for the first time myself very recently ;)

    that is a nice mix :) & Lidl's white bread flour is better than anything you get in the big supermarkets, even better than the branded ones (I may have told you this already :o it's my age ... I think :o:o)
