I've almost decided to get a BM and if I do, I'm almost certain it'll be a Kenwood. But I have a question:
I keep seeing that people recommend the BM450 but I keep seeing the Kenwood Touch, as in this link:
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/0505536/Trail/searchtext%3EKENWOOD+BREADMAKER.htm
Is it the same one, just renamed? It's in the Tesco Direct catalogue as well.0 -

it's a great machine, I'm sure you'll love it
check out Amazon too before you buy, it's currently £88.90 there, but their prices fluctuate wildly & can change from one minute to the next
I'll probably get it from Amazon, once I start writing on DooYoo again, it's not like real money then
The hard thing will be keeping myself from buying a cheap one first, but having read a lot of the generic BM thread, I can see that I shouldn't.0 -

if you get tempted, come here or even go on the Panny thread & we'll talk you out of it0 -
Finaly Argos have dropped the price, and finaly i have one,(the only one in my local store),on reserve...cant wait to collect it tomorrow...we've been away to Wemyss Bay Mon-Fri..school holidays...I was panicking they would sell out before i got home..I know Amazon have it for cheaper, but i have Argos vouchers to cover 1/2 the cost...Hope the one they have doesnt have that big sticker wrapped around it...thats why my first one had to be returned, the sticker is impossible to remove and totaly wastes the look of the unit.Slimming World..Wk1,..STS,..Wk2,..-2LB,..Wk3,..-3.5lb,..Wk4,..-2.5,..Wk5,..-1/2lb,Wk6,..STS,..Wk7,..-1lb.
Week 10,total weightloss is now 13.5lbs Week 11 STSweek 14(I think)..-2, total loss now 1 stone exactly
GOT TO TARGET..1/2lb under now weigh 10st 6.5(lost 1st 3.5lbs)0 -

mine had a big sticker on, but it was the clingy plastic 'peelable' type, so don't panic if your new machine has one
I'm so pleased you've finally managed to get another, can't wait to hear what your baking0 -
Collected my kenwood today, tho not used it yet,,they have changed the sticker, think this one was the same as yours Swan,ie plastic and not realy sticky(wonder how many were returned due to the previouse glued on paper ones..they realy did ruin the look of the machine and were impossible to remove,,,must have been a big enough issue for them to change them ,oh and it also had a Which bestbuy 2009 sticker and a Good houskeeping approved 2010 sticker. good signs
Th display panel looks different too, well not the panel exactly, just the digital display...previously the numbers were clear and in white and only the illuminated numbers were visible, but this new display has the illuminated numbers in white and the background numbers are still visible too(in pink or green depending on the angle),very odd,but i dont think it will be a problem...ive bought a Tesco crusty loaf packet mix just to get me started tomorrow, then I think itl be the French loaf, from what i remember that was one of the family favourites.Slimming World..Wk1,..STS,..Wk2,..-2LB,..Wk3,..-3.5lb,..Wk4,..-2.5,..Wk5,..-1/2lb,Wk6,..STS,..Wk7,..-1lb.

I'm looking forward to experimenting with mine ... may have a few disasters along the way, but few good things have been achieved without experimentation0
