    Hi Swan

Thanks for your input, it's appreciated :)

The reason I suggested the BM reset was during my last bake the machine was nearing the end of a cycle (Programme 2) and had 22mins to go and I lifted the lid to see what was going on inside, when I lifted the lid the machine bleeped and the reading on the timer went to 3:50 and the machine began to cool. I salvaged the loaf by taking it out and finishing it off in the fan oven. Actually it turned out quite nice :)

Instead of the olive oil one I tried Wright's Parmesan & Sun Dried Tomatoes and it's just finished now (22:23) and it looks and smells delicious :T

    Thanks again.
  • I have a French loaf programmed to be ready for 9am tomorrow morning...wish id set it for earlier,I love waking up to the smell of the bread baking.

    that sounds delicious :)

is it possible you brushed the control panel & reset it? I've done that before, fotunately it was at the start so I just let it go ahead & my bread got an extra kneading :D

I'm going to give my ciabatta recipe a try following the Wright's instructions & see what happens with 22 minutes to go, it'll have to be next week though as I'm in the middle of decorating my dining room & my kitchen is a tip

I wonder if you could make a custom programme to just bake for 22 minutes? I'm going to have to have a read of the manual _pale_ wish me luck!

also, I think I'll venture over to the Panny thread & see if anyone there has tried the Wright's Ciabatta, although from what I remember, the Panny instructions tell you not to lift the lid at all

I've been making the French bread over the past couple of weeks, it's very good & it makes excellent bruscetta :)

I can't imagine why that would be, nykied. Perhaps, as cooking mama has suggested, people don't use it with any real effort and then blame the machine for terrible results. I am really gald I picked mine! I love it!:D Loving the french bread prog 5 still!:)
    I finally tried it & am loving it :D see above ^ ^ ^

Re opening the lid, I rang Kenwood and asked the if anything detrimental would happen if you did during the baking cycle and the response was No! The only thing that may happen [they said] was that heat may be lost when the dough is in the rising mode.

My experience then was hopefully a one off.

lol :rotfl:I've been thinking the same, while everyone's running around frantically clearing the shelves we're all sitting pretty :D

given the amount of bread you see some people buying, you'd think they were going to insulate their houses with it :p
