Re meditation and spirituality Nooly - I found that really helped me live with ME - although I wasnt depressed. I just think I slowed down enough to be able to sense it...whereas before I was ill I was always moving too fast to notice the spiritual side.

    Hi all!

    welcome kalojac!!

kath so glad your dads feelong better today.
    Lauren speak to your consultant!!!

It cold up here today, so i've wrapped myself in a fleece.
Snips decided he wanted to wear his longjohns and themal vest to school today. Yes it is that cold brrrr

Been at my course today so came home and quickly threw some stuff out and placed another load in the washing machine.

I also decided to shock horror look at the accounts:eek:. Lets just say its not looking good, but at least now i when certain payments are going to arrive. Spent some of the day arranging our budget for next year. I tried to do this last year with the frugal lving club but i lost track of everything. So going to really try and keep up with it this time.
I'm actually feeling quite positive as my first plan of action in January is to pay hellish halifax off then theres one debt gone and dealt with forever.

Now i have to crack on with some baking and get some soup on the go. Think the boys deserve a hot chocolate when they get back with some whipped cream from the fridge.

I know exactly what you mean - it's helping me cope with ME too. I was always quite spiritual but didn't have an outlet for it. I feel much calmer and happier in general even if I do have my "moments"!

And best of all it's free! :j (I love doing jumping up and down smilies cos in real life if I did that I'd probably need to lie on the couch for a week lol)
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)

Seasalt Good Luck with your 2nd inspection hun - it must be very unsettling waiting for the results. I wish you all the best with them. Also, big :grouphug: to you and anyone else on here struggling with depression

Thanks for asking about my DD. The DSS had made a "mistake" as they hadn't realised my DD had been taken out of the back to work group and placed in the support group, as their system hadn't been updated  So all that upset and the subsequent fallout for nothing, although she will have to attend an assessment in January, so it still hangs over us.

She's just had to change anti psychotics again, as she was getting so all she did was sleep all day on the old ones, and her anger was getting the better of her again, but also no motivation and very dark thoughts. She's been on a new one for 2 weeks now, and although her mood has improved - she's not sleeping all the time, and is more motivated - the new tablet is causing total insomnia (there's always some trade off :( ) So that's proving to be a big problem, as she's totally shattered. I can only hope that as her body becomes used to the tablet, the side effect will drop away.

And to top it all her therapist (she's having Dialectical Behavioural Therapy) had a real go at her last Friday for changing her meds, saying she couldn't work with her because my daughter was so tired, she hasn't been able to remember what's she's been doing and how she's been feeling. And she should be "using her therapy skills" to stop her lows, not changing her medication. I think the woman needs a reality check  Having a "qualification" in an illness, doesn't mean you understand what it's like to live day in day out with mental illness, as she made patently clear by that remark, so I will be going in with my daughter this coming Friday.

Mrs VegPlot. I've got the utmost admiration for how you are handling a very upsetting, difficult and worrying situation, on top of already supporting and living with your OHs depression, and I sincerely hope the letter you had Sunday was your last nasty surprise.

Congratulations jediteacher - what wonderful news :T

And finally, Frugal Sorry to hear about your Auntie, but I'm so pleased to hear that your Dad has shown improvement over the weekend, that really is fab news indeed :)

really annoyed with myself for not going and getting the stuff we need as it now means i will have to get them from Asda when we go and pick DH up from work so will no doubt cost me more and i'll probably end up buying more than we need even though we can't afford it :(
i know what we are having for tea but i just cba to make it

have given in and put the heating on now that DD is home from school but it is on low and we are wearing jumpers

enough moaning from me, it seems that's all i come on here to do at the minute, there are people who are in worse situations than us so i should just shut up lol
(((hugs))) to anyone that needs one x

Cheer up Dolly ((hugs Dolly)), I think a lot of us are just fed up with life in general....the weather, the economic climate, the increased prices in staple foodstuffs, like flour, rice etc, job losses, personal debt, national debt, price hikes in gas and elecricity, petrol price increases, ill health, etc. etc:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

OMG, we all have a lot on our plates:(:(:(:(:(.

Let's soldier on chaps....let's all dig in and grit our teeth. What else can we do?:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

;) Felines are my favourite ;)

I'm in favour of drinking gin and eating chocolate...I'm not entirely sure of its effectiveness though :D
