Where is Annie56? Does she know where we all are now? I miss her posts, hope she is ok
  • Im going to sit and watch 'toddlers and tiaras' on Dmax channel. Love watching american parents throw $500 on a dress for a 4 year old who cries threw her whole stage performance! They are such pushy showbiz parent that me and OH (who pretends not too watch) just pass comment about them. The kids where more make up than me and one of their outfits would pay our rent and council tax for a month!

Just waiting for oH to come down and make supper - probably the rice pudding from the co op that was on offer

    Have a lovely evening xx

I'd be grateful if a fox ate them, saves me the hassle of cleaning them. Might stick them in the WM on a hot wash...

I often do that with shoes... not just trainers either, I have done it with my fav old (rather smelly) Hush Puppy Mules! Stuck them in the machine with towels (or it would have been the bin) and they came out lovely... bit hard at first but soon wore them in again :D Very MSE :money: Still able to wear them now and they are about 8 years old  Maybe more :eek::eek:

No its def cat poo - i have enough experience of the stuff to know as there are cats everywhere round here. Used to keep chickens so know how bad fox poo is - would have more patience with that as foxes are wild.

Its just underneath - I got her to walk over a load of horsechestnut shells earlier on our walk and that got some of it off, but have left them outside the front door now kinda hoping someone nicks them! Altho thats doubtful round here, altho you never know!

Soak the soles in a solution of baking soda or some coca cola overnight and clean with an old toothbrush.

Dry them sole up in some sunshine, if you can find any.

Hehe, you made me laugh Frugal wishing that someone/thing would take the trainers! :rotfl: Hmmm, I have seen some odd things sold on Ebay .. wouldn't be surprised if there IS a market for them! Hope you do enjoy your evening pet.

Nice to know I'm not alone with my tea and telly! :) Now I feel like there's a big gang of us!

I might just crochet another granny square now i've finally sussed out how to do 'em
Are they hard to do katholicos? I haven't got my head around crochet but I love those rugs made of the squares.

Don't have that channel but programmes like that make me laugh my head off! I was watching the USA Wife Swap and realised the extreme supposedly mad person (cos she didn't buy new clothes every five seconds and use disposable plates) was probably spendier than I am! :D They would have a field day with us lot!
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)

Yes, it's so much easier to deal with if it's dry.

Now I hesitate to even mention this but I have heard that sealing them in a bag and freezing them helps too. The idea is it comes off more easily when hard. But don't get it mixed up with Freezer Surprise (what I call my misc tubs of "stuff" I freeze and forget to label).

Two of my dd's put their kids trainers in the washer on a low temp wash and they come out fine...and they've got four each....kids that is not trainers!

I love 'Old Style'.... and the friends I've found on here... and Mardatha I think the idea of MSE knitted hats is a brilliant idea :T ... we would be warm and know where all the bargains were to be found (just follow a hat!:rotfl::rotfl:)

I think one of those Dr.Seuss ones would be good...the red and white striped ones that stick up....and then those of us who are vertically challenged could still be seen...:rotfl:

Oh well....am starting to ramble now...better get on with more chutney!

take care and keep warm :)
