OK, if you click NO SUBS then you should in theory receive no subs. Sometimes pickers make mistakes and give subs anyway as they miss the note on their screen.

However Perfect Items as they are known at my store are items such as Milk, Nappies, Baby Milk. These are things that will be subbed whether you click no subs or not. The reason for this is if you order nappies then you are more than likely going to need them and we dont want a single mother having to go shops to get nappies just because we didnt have the exact brand avaliable.

    Hope that helps

Ahhhhh - I knew there would be a sensible reason for it. Thanks for that :)

I think I got a bit confused when you said cheese used to be on it. I guess the powers that be (in this case you) realised the lack of crisis's caused by someone not having cheese in the local area and removed it. :p Also not ever having been a parent means I don't automatically think of things like baby milk and nappies etc. :o

Anyway - back on topic, In my experience Eurest catering is rubbish

This is because anything that is frozen or refridgerated cannot be returned to the store, unless it is faulty or somehow tesco's fault (like you didn't want your cheese substitued). Once a product likes this leaves the store, it cannot go back out on the shelves, so it will be wasted!
Yeah I know she explained it to me when I asked her if that was the bin.......................but it still stunned me and STILL made me feel guilty, the extent that if there hadn't been a massive queue of people behind me I would've taken it back! :o:o

Funniest subsitution I ever had from Tesco's was a birthday present for my mum (and stepdad was included)...I live in Wales and they're in London. Got two massive steaks and all the trimmings plus wine and cake delivered through online service to their house.
    They subbed the steak for............

.... two tins of Spam!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Hilarious now but I went billy-bonkers at the time!To be fair they did replace it pronto and delivered it properly that afternoon
And the cat enjoyed the spam !!:rotfl:
