  • Cheery Daff, Agree with what everyone else has said, Of course you need to concentrate on the work for your PHD at the moment and then once that is complete I am sure you will find yourself in a different place to commit to other things.

Clairewop, not sure if this is doable but myself and some of my friend really like Chakra jewellery, not sure if you could get the beads in the Chakra colours and make pendants - I believe they sell very well in "spiritual" shops

    Hi again everyone

Wow! Fab homepage MG - not had chance to go through it properly but you should have my e-mail reserving a place and offering any help I can

MG - could I ask where the old homepage / challenge is? I was copying and pasting the challenge as am following at a different pace and I don't have all the challenges :(

Cheery - your PHD will be fab. I understand it's hard now but as you know it will be so worth it once you've handed it in. You are right that your PHD takes priority now, it made me think of a mesage from Mr Big to MG early on about offering help to others once you are in a position of strength which is exactly what you'll be doing.

KC - green products, I would want the comparison of the effectiveness of the product against other leaders in the market. I would also want to know the measurability ? of the green product carbon footprint? - is it greenly produced, distributed, use etc. and compare this against other leaders also. This would be something I personally, would like to see on a graph - I guess like you see on new fridges and then more in depth info available if I want this.

Claire - I think the set you made earlier is stunning. I guess for your website have more things which are not tied to a season and keep introducing these - as with todays which I think is lovely for any time of year and then bring out the seasonal things just as we get towards that time of year, like you have with halloween, xmas, etc. That way if someone is visiting the site for a seasonal item they will see your new and updated products and those who visit anyway will be aware that you do introduce new things. Gosh! Long post hope it makes sense ?
Other ideas would be maybe some testimonials - I am happy to do one after receiving my ear-rings which I have finally managed to pay for :o Your pictures are very clear but maybe it would help like e-bay has feedback so testimonials to say how the item was just as it was pictured, beautifully packed and posted promptly. I have quickly looked at your web-site for feedback but didn't see it so sorry if you already have this. Oh you can send me a poster or two too to advertise for you :D

Earrings are made will post monday

Good idea to have testimonials but I think I need to buy more webspace or something? to be honest I really don't understand it, I'm only just managing to upload new stuff onto it.

What about sports, lots of football fans etc., and especially what about the Olympic sports with 2012 coming up, just watch out for their tight controls on refering to it due to them selling the rights to use it. But lots of people have sporty or musical kids, so things with musical links or sporty links could sell well.

Will look to see if I can find any sport related beads :)

I have just been suggested breast cancer jewellery Would have to set up a page or something to donate a percentage to the charity)

Claire - Hmm... am not very webby myself but sure hopefully someone on here can advise you on how to get more space, make better use of space etc.

Well, today saw an early start for me for a weekly shop and got another xmas prezzie sorted too ;). Have put away shopping, done and moved a load of washing, cleaned 1/2 of the kitchen - I tend to do it in stages - it's not even very big :rotfl: Washed up all pots and moved. Removed all books from bookcase, cleaned said bookcase and returned most of the books and selected some for sale :D It looks much better now rather than having books balancing on top of others so that's all good. Now I'm heading off to my wardrobe to declutter in there. I am going to look mostly at going out stuff - not something I get to do much now so I think I could take a few things out to sell without them being missed at all and hopefully make a few pennies so i can start chipping away at the target in my sig! Oh I like having a sig - though I'd prefer it not to be for a bill :rotfl:

What about initial beads, have seen teenagers and kid weraing beaded bracelets with their names spelled on the beads.
Might be an option if people could order the name they wanted.
Black gothica could have a section all of its own.
Fancy dress jewellery could go along with the Gothica too, halloween and vampiric if that makes sense,

Aw bless, Demi said @am I famous now I've got my name on MSE@
Ethnic style, scarab beads. aztec - if the options are there people can sort of let you know what they want and you can customise

Some thoughts for you about drumming up interest...

Have a look for independent schools in the area of each of your gigs...http://www.isc.co.uk/ParentZone_PostcodeandCountySchoolSearch.htm
Or talk to ISCO - independent schools careers org -(www.isco.org.uk) - they may give you some ideas at least.

Also, at the risk of sounding like a young fogey:p, what about the W.I. - pretty sure it's not all cake sales and nudey calendars - and think they have a magazine, so if they did an article on you, that could be free publicity? Have your mentors given you any advice about publicity/ media?
