Where abouts are you Cherisong? - I know someone up here but that's probably a bit far....

I was going to ask the same question, but unless Cherisong is up your way the person I know who does it would be no good, as she is based in East Lothian!

To be honest Claire, i am a bit of a one trick pony in that i only just learned to do it in February but i made a blanket for my baby neice and the ladies who read my diary loved it and said i should sell them. I am spending a while looking at what i might be able to make and design my own stuff so i don't end up with copyright problems. It will be a few months before i can really knuckle in as it is very time consuming and my kids are only 2 and 3.

You are one of the people who inspired me, seeing your website and how good it looked.

Here is what i made in my own diary.

I am thinking mainly baby items, but might branch out into maternity knitting too. I am still researching really, but this is definitely the place to be for getting it done.

That is absolutely beautiful! I'm sure you could make a business out of it if you can do work like that - and the changes to make each one unique (or very limited editions) don't have to be huge. Good for you :)

Whew!!! You'd think that the coaching calls would get easier - but somehow they manage to just pitch them a little bit further than I think I can reach.

So in the usual spirit of breaking the elephant down in to little bites, here's what the coach "helped":rotfl:me come up with.
Q Whats the problem? - bare facts only.

A I need to fill a room with 44 people in Leeds in 30 days time.

Q You the drill!! - come up with 10 "Who do you know who?" questions to help narrow down the search for your people. 10 areas to search for four people in each -OK?

A Erm!! Ok!!! ( half wishing I'd never started this whole thing - only half thought mind):D
Ok - so who do you know who??

    1. Attends any of the local Universities

    2. Attends any of the local colleges

    3. Has children at any local independant schools

    4. Has children and lives in the area

    5. Is a member of the local press

6 Works in a local radio station

    7. Is a member of a local business networking group

    8. Works in the local authority

    9. Is in the local Chamber of Commerce

    10. erm - erm erm!!!!!! Help me out guys - my brain is fried:eek:

  • Thanks Karmacat and Claire for your comments. I am being held back a bit by myself at the minute lacking confidence. Yes i made that item well, but i need to learn other skills. I know i should just think to myself that i taught myself how to do that over a few months so anything is achievable really.

My sister in law loved it, and my sister fell in love with it too and said if ever she has another baby i must make it for her. It is so pretty. I wish i had learned when i had my own two. :o

My mum offered to sell me some in her shop, but she has a bargain shop - sells a bit of everything at a low price. The internet is where i need to be to make it worth while.

Oh dear - we can't come between a girl and a good party:rotfl::rotfl:

I'm going to be up and down the country at the beginning of next year - I expect you to let me buy you a birthday drink the next time I'm somewhere close.

BTW the course will finish at 3.30 if that makes a difference.

To be fair, it might, but it will require a day of militarily precise timing. And a local hairdresser in Headingley who can fit me in! ;)

P.S. I can pass on info to locals about the day, MG, but it will be much easier if you have a website/links for me to provide to people to illustrate what I'm talking about. :)

Happy Birthday Firewalker and Surfbabe. Hope you are having a lovely day.

MG I'm sorry that we are too far from Leeds. Any £1 flights from your part of the world coming down South?

How far south are you looking for?
