greyfox that web site seems to open OK for me now (11am)0

Thanks, Troglodyte. Wish it did for me! OH is out so have just booted-up his lappy (not something I like doing as I view laptops a "private places"!) and can't get a connection from that either. Could be a problem with the area server, I suppose - or Virgin & Orange have broken-off diplomatic relations! Suppose I'll just have to do something useful with my life instead of sitting here!!0

Right I am booked on the train - so should have plenty of child-free writing time as well.
Must go and email my kind hosts and let them know the ins and outs.
Spent half and hour scraping through my budget following my squeezing of utility bills and phone stuff.
Its going to be a frugal Christmas but we should be fine. DS2 has got a Timmy Time Nursery from Ebay, DS1 the new Jamie Oliver cookbook. Both have got new jammies from the pajama fairy (Mums best friend - lol) Grandparents got DS2 a wooden train set and DS1 credit on his Game card towards the new pokemon game. Clootie left pencil cases and chocolate cookies, best friend is doing selection boxes and if I can find the wool, both boys will have Pudsey Bears and stripey mittens for their stockings.
Everyone else is getting "clutter free" boxing day boxes. Piccallil, dill pickles, jam, clootie dumpling, scots tablet, ginger nut biscuits, chocolate dipped hob nobs and a loaf of sourdough bread or pumpernickle. Means that everything is eaten and enjoyed by New Years and no clutter to shift around the house for the next year.
Everyone is here for Xmas Eve Dinner - Mum is bringing the meat, Dad is bringing the drink, Mums BF is bringing a fruit basket (appreciated much more than flowers BTW and her husband brings the crackers)
So I have a list of what is missing for the "bake-off", stashed the bills money to one side, set a grocery budget and then took a deep breath and paid every single penny I could off DS1's school fees.
So I am feeling pretty skint now - Gulp!!! but I have worked out that I only need to raise £42 every week between now and 2011 to have paid for DS1 fees completely up to date :beer: this is so brilliant - its like only 3 books per week:j:j

MG,
I got 2 free ben10 frisbees from Asda a couple of months ago, they are looking for a new home. Was thinking about taking it to charity but if your DSs would like them I am happy to post them to you. Or if anyone wants them, let me know.

P.s. only offering cause no one wants them, I asked around already here but everyone seems to have frisbees:)0

MG - can you get a Railcard to give you a discount on train tickets - you are going to be doing a lot of travelling with all these seminars? It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

Thanks for the suggestions, Ezzie. I know the router's OK as I can get here. Tried the number but that's for probs with Orange Broadband or dial-up. We're with Virgin, I just happen to have an Orange E-mail address as it was too much hassle to change. There are a couple of other sites I can't get to - EG Screwfix, which may be on the same server as Orange - but most of my favourites are working OK. I'll just have to be patient, I think.
MG, you seem to have Christmas pretty well organised! Really must start getting my act together as I've only scratched the surface so far.0
