  • spud - I hope your daughters friend had a lovely send off xx

right I take it from numerous posts that the other site has moved correct? I'd got the link and I still can't log on because it wants me to do via an unsecured server. I am with Virgin Broadband and I have tried a number of settings to try and help this situation to no avail. Anyone else had the same problem and how did you get round it? Really want to join in on the other site but just not able to :(

Every hotel I've stayed in recently has had cake on the menu for breakfast... including this one (apple & cinnamon cake). Your kids are just more cosmopolitan than you realised!
  • Our hotel on holiday had apple crumble in the buffet breakfast - and chocolate sauce! ewww

When in the States the breakfast buffets had all kinds of cakes. They also had taco shells with chilli & cheese sauce . Mmmmm, just what you want at 9am ;)

    Good morning :)

Its been lovely here the last 2 days :) getting up to a clean clutter free house :) I cleaned the kitchen in under 10 mins this morning :) Still got lots to do though, need to sort cupboards out etc because We shoved a lot of things in them out of the way :)

Goal for the rest of this week is - clear the recess in my hallway, (all jewellery beads and boxes plus numerous other stuff was put out the out of the way on Tuesday) once that's done I can get under the stairs and see if I can clear there too :)

While I'm clearing boxes in the hall I will find the orders and beads to make the orders then hopefully they will all be finished and posted by Monday :).

My back is giving me a bit of jip this morning but nothing compared to what it has been :) so I'm just going to be a bit more careful, Ds1 is home today so he can lift boxes :)

    MG are you feeling better??

Spud how are you and DD today???

    Morning Peeps

Another day with the snotty ones chez Memorygirl I think. Got an important meet at 1pm so need to get Granny mobilised so that she can catch the kids for an hour or so.

Had a really easy week with the Mentors - few of them are on their quarterly retreat so pressure has been off a little. Had a call this morning where as part of the chat I was mentionning about creating new year goals.

The mentor asked me why I was concentrating so far ahead? Dd I not realise that there are 6.5 weeks beween now and the new year - and that looing at Jan 1st as a new start is counterproductive. There is plenty time now to achieve some really significant life goals. Amongst the mentors in 6 weeks, he knows of peeps that have:

Lost a stone - would that make a difference to how I feel? YOU BETCHA
Found a partner of their dreams, and married them in Fiji - and six weeks after that they were pregnant!!!
Created rocking business plans and secured funding for new businesses
Collected together a world class team that has now started 8 businesses
Written a book - and secured a six figure advance from a publisher
Sold £50,000 worth of training from a standing start
Sold a house, bought another and moved in
    Renovated a five bedroom house
Gone from the point of brancuptcy to £20,000 in the bank

Do you remember when we used to get off school for 7 weeks over the summer? How the weeks and weeks of freedom to choose what we were going to do stretched ahead of us in a glorious expanse.

Well we are talking about the same amount of time between now and Jan 1st.

I'm off to have a think about the significant thing I am going to achieve BEFORE the turn of the year. The changes in your life occur from the choices you make today - not the plans you make for 6 weeks time.

So time to get myself ready for my meeting with the expectation that they will welcome me with open arms as a solution to some of their challenges.............

.............. open arms and and open diary too:T:T

Ooh and its pink and girlie!!! I am so tempted:D

Was actually debating popping into Argos today, they have a cookworks chip fryer on offer at £12.99.

We have chips as a treat once a week - but at £1.50 per bag, thats £3.00 per week for something that would cost pennies to make at home. Remember I have a girlie friend that sells me her farm potatoes at next to nothing.

Figure the fryer would take 4 weeks or so to pay for itself - but I could also add, fried fish, lemon chicken, pakora and puris into the kids menus over the winter too.

Hi guys, sorry I have not kept up to speed with things. Hope everyone is ok, hugs to those that need them, and apologies for the lack of support from my end.
