  • Spud - wow, that's so tough for you and your daughter. I'll send positive vibes for the both of you, plus the family of your daughter's friend too of course.

JC - what's in store for you next? Well something better than that job, of course! :D

Can't remember who made the comment about marriage spoiling a relationship and why would you get married if you were happy together? What a sad viewpoint though - I can only speak for myself and OH of course, but yes we were very happy together and as a result of that we wanted to stand up in front of our nearest and dearest and make the whole arrangement permanent in the eyes of everyone. I presume that circumstances in your own life have lead you to the conclusion that marriage "spoils" a relationship, but I can assure you that it is not always the case. We're still very happy together now and have no regrets about marrying. I too hope that William and Kate are marrying for love - thankfully the fact that they have been together for so long seems to point to the fact that this is probably the case, that and the fact that she, of course, would not have been brought up to aspire to marrying into royalty in the same way that the late Princess of Wales almost certainly was.

  • Just got back in from Fife and thanks MG for the scrummy cake, mmmmm.

It was great to meet Clootie's Mum, Rubyroo, and Fantasia and of course MG too. And her gorgeous sons - and very friendly cats!

Spud, will be with you in spirit tomorrow as you support your DD.

JC, I have a wee post-it on my wall which says,

"What absolutely amazingly good thing is going to happen next?" - as EssexHebridean said, something much better for you than that particular job!

If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

    Just a quickie before work

It was great to see everyone last night - and so good to put names to faces. But I have to confess - I still think of people by their logon names as opposed to their real names - will that change in time, do you think?

Spud - I hope today goes as well as can be expected fro you & your daughter. Tragic is the only word I can think of for this

Anyway - work calls so will catch up later

Thanks again MG for the goodies last night.....

    Good morning :)

Plan of action today clean bedroom wall, see if the black marks come off

No cleaning to do today :) apart from brush dog hairs off the floor :) Hopefully now with being able to do more I can keep on top of it :)

need to wait in for approved food order and hopefully my rug, curtains and cushions will be here today, plus the other cabinet :) Then the living room is completely finished :)

Dh is not working fri, so the front garden is getting cleared :) next door is going to help him take it all to the tip :) and stuff in the shed is going to be moved about to make room for the bikes to go in from the dining room :)

Thinking of you and your daughter today Spud - take it one moment at a time.

Glad to see everyone got home from our wee jolly last night - bit of a take us as you find us kind of night, but I did get as far as to make a sponge to go wth our cuppa.

Now I've got two boys who have got up with runy noses and sniffles - so I guess today will consist of hot drinks and cuddles. After the dentist visit where they re doing the prep for my free veneers - YUCK!
