  • Got waylaid with the 50 day challenge too. Have done some of what I said and fell by the wayside with others:o:(
Motivitation (self) being my biggest problem.
The new forum failed on the 1st login, and then said something about an insecure server ??????????????????????
Hope today went brilliantly for MG and the others, could do with some positive news.
Looking forward to Tuesday to Clootie, having been drivng in the dark to oversome my nerves lol, am fine in daylight by driving in the dark sets my teeth on edge (bad experience some time ago).
Well at least there seem to be a few of us with self-motivation problems. Coime and join in the Tada posts. :)

I hope they can sort the new forum problems - it sounds such a good idea for those of you who are starting businesses.

    Good luck with the driving.
Now I am retired I very seldom have to drive after dark. Can cope in town but I never liked driving out of town in the dark.

Another one waiting for news from Leeds :rotfl:

Surfbabe, where will you be coming from? Just wondered if I could save you part of the journey?

North Essex - only about just over an hours drive from the storage so if anyone needs anything taking I will be going next Sunday (20th)

I can't get into the other site now that it's moved, warning that we needed to save passwords would have been good because how on earth do you get it now?!

Did you keep the original email that MG sent out? The password for the first login is listed in there.

Mr F is back from Leeds tomorrow, so not doubt he can reset it for you if you need him to xx
  • With the driving in the dark thing - would having the radio or a favourite CD on while you drive help to relax you a little?

My pet hate with driving is on the motorway in the teeming down lane trying to overtake lorries.... I also hate reversing into parking spaces... but at least I can avoid that if I want to :) x

    Evening :)

I got onto the other site just now :)

Well farmers market was ok took £54 and one of the stall holders owes me £30

went to look at the house, there's an awful lot of work needs doing to it, the basement is huge  and would be able to get a workroom for me in there and 2 sitting rooms for the boys, there's a toilet already in the basement too, but the walls are bare brick so a lot of work will need to be done to make it livable.

All the rooms would have to be re decorated, there is a brand new kitchen but its much smaller than ours, there's a separate shower and bath in the main bathroom upstairs and a toilet downstairs.

the front door needs to be replaced and the back door, the basement needs new doors and windows they are all smashed.

BUT if you sell your house for more than you have to buy this one for, you can pay someone to do all that for you. Sounds fab. Go for it.
  • The login problem on the new Matrix site seems to be universal - I got through the first login but it didn't like me with the second one - and won't send me a password reminder as it doesn't recognise my email address! I'm sure it will all be sorted out before too long, and in the meantime we can chat here.

I too was thinking of MG today, and her room full of clients in Leeds, and am looking forward to hearing how it all went.

And I'm looking forward to Tuesday evening and meeting up in Fife! It will be the first time I have physically met MSE friends, and I was reflecting this afternoon how connected we all are and how much I care about so many people I haven't met 'in the flesh'. We are all linked through common ideals and purpose and that is just brilliant and other than through MSE it would be very difficult and take years to achieve in 'real life', and would not be as widespread.

There really is a kind of magic to it.

My tada today is I think I have finished such Christmas shopping as I am going to do. Each year it gets simpler and simpler, and I've already decided next year I am making soap and knitting dishcloths/facecloths and giving a donation to an orphan rescue charity in lieu of some presents. I'd rather give to wee souls overseas who actually desperately need the basics rather than to people who already have everything. I don't think anyone I usually give to will object. In fact they may be relieved!

If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.
