I'm back!!! I have read ALLLL of Mike's house thread. I recommend it - it's a real journey of self discovery. Let's persuade that there universe to help him find the courage to get back to work now
(I can't ask, because I really don't beleive this whole universe malarkey!)
Bitsy, I LOVE your stuff!! It's a bit like flying pig's - who's stuff I love as well!! I can't see a single reason why you shouldn't be able to sell it all profitably.
The shared, etsy style Matrix shop is a fine plan. It seems to fit in the general plan of girlies (and honourary girlies) doing it together, so to speak.
Gonna get on with my knittng now (O I am such an old lady)

I'd like to ask you all to think positive thoughts for my ds.
Long story short he's been working for a major company for two and a half years, he was taken on as a graduate trainee manager , worked his socks off and was promoted to manager of a failing store, turned it round in six months and was asked to take on a larger store with even more problems, told he would be given a pay rise after 3 months, worked his socks off, turned the store round got told there was no money because he "was well paid for his age" (he's 24 , was 23 then). Three months later made trainee district manager with a small pay rise and after two months made up to district manager but no more money. He manages 3 stores and the managers of the 3 stores are all paid more than him. He works ridiculous hours, well over 70 a week and today on his day off had to go in, he isn't allowed to turn off his work mobile on his days off and can and does get phone calls alll the time. The senior managers seem to think because he is so young they can treat him like dirt.
Please send some positive thinking for him to get the perfect job so that he can tell them where to stick this one!
Treating him less favourably because of his age is age discrimination and is illegal.. however it would be as well if he could get another job lined up first because suing your employer never helps to make you employable. But it would be poetic justice if he gets another job and then takes them to tribunal - especially as they will have lost someone motivated and effectiveIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0
