Positive vibes heading in the direction of both Claireand Sue for their trips to hospital today - really hope things go well for you both and you get your desired outcomes re pain / mobility.
Claire (again!) - you have NOTHING to lose by going to see the house - your PH will be happy as he clearly wants to, and the fact that it has appeared for you means that you do at least need to take a look. As i say, nothing to lose bar, what, an hour of your time? And potentially a LOT to gain.
MG - good luck for the weekend, I'm sure it will all go brilliantly. Looking forward to hearing back from those who are attending tomorrow too!
Bitsy - if a friend, a very good friend, showed you the bits you have made and asked you to be devastatingly honest in telling her what you thought of them, what would you say?
Quick request - does anyone have a reliable, foolproof recipe for NAAN BREAD please? I know I have recipes somewhere but am really looking for something where I can use the BM to make the dough. Ta!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

There is a very selfish reason to insist as well - I would like to meet you. But also talk to you about your PhD - if you had a year for corrections my guess is that you either were not supervised very well or the wrong examiners were appointed. Whatever, you probably could do with chatting to someone else.

I must confess my whole PhD experience has been better since hanging around on this thread, and since reading MG's book! So just this once I have said YES to an offerSo I WILL get to meet you tomorrow Firewalker :j :j
And as for supervision/examiners - hmm :rotfl: too many changes of supervisor more like, a consistent but inexperienced one, my own inexperience, lots of outside circumstances (Mr Daffs being ill, having to work as well etc), plus not very wisely chosen examiners, plus a lack of focus on my own part!
Soooo excited! But first - must focus on what I'm going to get done TODAY! :rotfl:0 -
EH - i dont have a bread maker (yet). But my neighbour does and she swears by this.

Thank you - I really need a good boot up the @rse. I mean what's the worst that's gonna happen. No one buys anything. No one died and whilst I'll end up out of pocket a bit it's not the end of the world. If I am going to be wealthy then I need to act it so I shouldn't be worrying about the cost of the resources I should be saying "I can afford this".I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

For those of us whose 50-day challenge is about clearing out in order to simplify then make better choices: and for life in general - this came into my inbox this morning
Make Room for the New
Life is full and overflowing with the new, but it is necessary to empty out the old and make room for the new to enter. The emptying out process can be very painful, but it is necessary. You have to be willing to unlearn so much to make room for all those new and wonderful truths to enter and to become part of you. It is more difficult to unlearn than it is to learn. You may experience that feeling of barrenness, of having nothing to hold onto, of being alone and bereft of everything, a life dead and empty and with no meaning to it. Realise that it is a process of being emptied of the old so you can be filled with the new. Never give up faith. Then you can begin again in newness of spirit and of truth.

Good news about meeting tomorrow. As to the rest - I am not a witch, honest! It is just experience on three sides.

OK - I have been waiting for something to come through the post for nearly three weeks - realised this morning that at the back of my mind has been lurking the thought "it doesn't matter any way because it isn't going to be any use to me"
So have I been 'stopping' it from being delivered? Or have I really lost the plot?
Or - should I ask for the e-copy of The Secret which I believe one of you has been kind enough to make available?0 -
