All the best for Leeds MG, you're going to create a tidal wave of learning and positivity xx Wish I could come to Leeds for the party, but I reckon KC and I will have to organise a shindig when you come to Brighton - along with any other Matrixers in the area :)

I'm pages back, but just quoting this now to agree with Kittikins - we can certainly arrange a shindig :D

Bitsy, I love the things you've made! Great stocking filler ideas, I'm sure you won't have to take them all home again!

Claire all the best for today, and why not go and look at the house, at worst it will be interesting to see how someone else lives! (Nosey, me?? :rotfl:)

Buffy, can you take a step back and assess why you have so much to do? Do you set the homework schedule or is it imposed on you? Sorry I don't know much about how schools work these days. What age do you teach and what subject? If it is set for you, how do the other teachers get through it? If you have flexibility to set your own work, could you do it differently or even do less? Many parents and pupils think they have too much homework anyway! Or could you use multiple choice (easier to mark) or tasks like reading which you could discuss in class after so no marking?

Kits for Kids - I have arranged to go to Borehamwood on Sunday 21st, so if anyone has things they can get to me before then or things I can pick up on the way let me know.

Hi where abouts are you? I am going to collect DT's stuff in Leeds tomorrow so would be helpful if we could relay. If the geography doesn't work I will take them direct
  • Bitsy love your stuff, particularly the flannel reindeer and the humbugs - sure they would be very useful for certain colleagues at Christmas.

I am a crafter but at the moment just do it for myself for the same reasons that you are wary . Even when I have been asked to make a card for someone on commission I have refused to accept anything for it so it is costing me in time and materials.

Go for it and I hope that pretty soon I will take my own advice!

Positive wishes for everyone today in what ever is happening - hoping to catch up with Mg's tour in Cambridge

Am hoping to take K4K on 21st as well
  • Well, I know I said I had decided to put job hunting to one side for a while to focus on NaNoWriMo (current total: 18217 words)... but know I have seen my dream job on the company intranet.

I did my PGCE in 2007 but was struggling to have a real life outside of the course and decided not to go into teaching. I know I made the right decision at the time but I really enjoyed teaching, just not so much all the admin and other demands on my time.

The company I work for has an education department and they're advertising a position in their team. It would be perfect - combining all the parts of my current job I actually enjoy with a return to teaching.

Only, I don't know how best to get this across in a CV and covering letter and seemed to remember there was someone here who was willing to look over CVs? If anyone could help or can any suggestions I would be most grateful.

Best wishes to MG and everyone meeting up in Leeds - hope you all have a fantastic day.

Me too,Bitsy, they're great - especially the reindeer poop :D its just how my mind works.

    Craftyscholar - love those quotes!

Oh, and whoever it was who posted the linkie to the naan bread, thank you - there's an "easy" recipe at the side, and I think I could do that one :D It would be nice to have something breadish that isn't the awful tasting gluten free bread that *has* to be toasted to be at all edible.

Claire - you've gone by now, but thinking of you with positivity and love :kisses3:

    Ccoooeeeee I'm back :)

Well that was an experience :) not sure whether I want to do it again :) but My fears of something going wrong and me not being able to walk back out the hospital are no more, feeling a bit funny around the injected area, and my Temprature shot up after I had the procedure done, other than that I'm ok :)

Bitsy your stuff is fab!! get out there and get selling it girl :) You could do with a website and sell through the post :)

As for the house we will go and see it :) will post the link on the matrix,
