Good morning
Need to get the house sorted this morning as I have hospital this afternoon, and not sure what I'm having done so I don't really want to come home to a mess. (doubt whether the beads will be done though.)
We will be standing beside you holding your hand.0 -
Claire - they're probably going to weigh you and do an MRSA test - I believe it's standard for all day case patients now... Best of luck for this afternoon x0

I need to ask for a favour. In brief:
1) tomorrow is one of the key notes I was invited to do (an academic one)
2) Potentially loads of reputation (no money except all expenses are paid which in my world is a sign of recognition)
3) Really have to ace it!!!
4) Have done my bit.
As you know the Universe meets us half way - doing your work is OK; real greatness needs apportunities as well. So the favour:
Would you mind sending a collective wish to the Universe tomorrow morning so that I do a presentation to remember for years to come - at exactly 7.45 (can count as an experiment of collective mental power as well).

A TADA update - so early in the morning!!
Hi everyone,
I have been lurking in the background for a while but going to pop in today to say 'Hi'!!
I am working from home this morning before heading to my appointment at the doctors, then on to work.
My stomach is doing somersaults and I don't know exactly what's causing it, so going to crack on with my tedious boring work (which by the looks of things is going to be worthless in the end! Which isn't a very good motivator!!)
But due to working from home, so far today I have managed to:
- check on pal's house (they are away for a few days)
- one wash in
- actually had and enjoyed my breakfast
- sorted out the bedroom
- put one lot of washing away
- sorted the dishwasher, ready to go go go!
- checked bank account (urgh but not too bad!)
- caught up with the Matrix, the memory girl's and Mike's thread also
What I will achieve before the end of the day:
- all of my ironing (whilst catching up with soaps)
- another pal's post (he works away and can't keep up with his post including bills so I am sorting them for him and emailing him with any urgent items)
- half an hour ebay
- design labels and cover for football dvds
- sort out new donations for Kits for Kids and update on here and Matrix page (looking towards 200 tops now - fingers crossed) The piles of sorted bags of strips are taking over my landing and looking forward to delivering to central collection point. Find out where and ask for a day's holiday from work to drive there.
What I would like to crack on with by the end of the week
- making some cushion covers, peg bags and bunting to sell on ebay (to chip away at the debt)
Just calculated also that last week was a rather successful week when it comes to achievements and chipping away at the 50 day challenge (which I didn't even realise due to not seeing the wood for the trees)
NSD 4/30 PAD 7/30 make £5AD 7/30

Managing my time more efficiently. Although when I find that I have success in this I'm unable to relax in my 'me time' and find something else to do!
Right, that's it for now on this thread, will try and update my own diary a bit later.
Have a good day all,
T

Fingers crossed for you today Claire!
Tuppence  how absolutely rotten for your nan and her friendsAny chance of finding who did it?
Firewalker - I will be thinking of you - and hoping your presentation is remembered for the RIGHT reasons (and not just because your skirt's tucked in your knickers! :rotfl:)Sounds like you've prepared well, I'm sure you'll do great!
I've spent the morning preparing for meeting with my PhD examiner. I've done as MG suggested, and have a mind map of the revisions requested, plus what I've done (and some questions/clarifications), and another map of the individual chapters, and what I've changed in each. Need to check now whether I'm on the right path! Also have some clarifications about practical matters. So fingers crossed. I'm rather nervousNo need really, he's a lovely man (or at least he was before he failed my PhD! :rotfl:).
I've also done a list of what I did in week 1 of the 50 day challenge, and what I've got planned for week 2 :j Feels like I'm slowly progressing towards my goals!:j :j
