When I was going to Al-Anon, the higher power they mentioned could be anything you wanted... god, just something spiritual, even a teddy or something!

Good morning

Need to get the house sorted this morning as I have hospital this afternoon, and not sure what I'm having done so I don't really want to come home to a mess. (doubt whether the beads will be done though.) Plus I have to get shopping for mum and take it up there.

So far my Tada list is

Cleaned kitchen (never did tea dishes last night cause I was trying to sort website, neither did anyone else )
put dishwasher on
Ironed school uniform
Ds1 did sandwiches whilst I was ironing.
took dry clothes off radiators sorted into ironing pile and going away pile
sorted clothes on airer, those still damp put on radiators.
took clothes out of machine put on airer
put washing machine on
cleaned bathroom floor.

Having 5 with a coffee before I do more,

I'm glad there are a lot of secret Secret non-believers coming out the woodwork - I don't feel such a plonker now. But for the record, I don't believe in a higher power but do believe in karma - that's why I try to be nice to folks.

Anyway - fantasia & groatie queen & MG - lets set up a date - I work f/t so for me it would need to be evenings or weekends unless it's week beginning 29th Nov as I'm of on holiday that week. I have car & can travel - work in Rosyth & live near Falkland so I can really meet anywhere -

Goodness Claire youhave been buzy so far. I thought I'd done well sorting some washing out and taking OH to work (I have to keep car so I can go to interview). Hope all goes well at hospital.

Breakfast now then off to work.

Up early - the wind howling around the house like a banshee.

So I took a cup of coffee and my calendar in to my store-cupboard and sorted out a menu plan that will run through until Christmas Eve - very little to buy, milk and fruit and veg is all.

Wll sit down later today and figure out what we need for the celebrations and start stashing away now to ease the pressure on the budget , but all in all in 1000% better shape than last year - LOL

A week worth of Adminny stuff looming - so lets do one last push on passwords for Matrix. Send an email if you still can't get in to [EMAIL="firstname@firstnamelastname.com"]firstname@firstnamelastname.com[/EMAIL] (Click onto my homepage to work it out) and let aim to get anyone who wants toplay sorted out.

Next thing - Leeds. OK venue was confirmed yesterday as BTCV - so will get the details out to anyone who has thrown their hand up. See you there at 9.15 for 9.30 - or 4.30 ish for Matrix meet afterwards.

Should be confirming Manchester venue soon - so I will make sure everyone has the details there too.



Not sure I'm totally into he whole card reading thing - but on Friday my Mum my mum go her cards read at a friends party. Apparently someone that I was going to be introduced to on the 6th will be a huge postive influence on my life. Didn't g over the door - but I did get two wonderful referrals for Marketing Bods to talk to from people on here - so fingers crossed - LOL

So yes, hugely sceptical about the Secret but many of the ideas about learning and positive thinking have been floating around for a while and I love this thread (even tho sometimes it drives me nuts, trying to keep up) because they are all here together for people to use, the success of Claire is amazing and MG is a clear inspiration, such drive and willpower. It is for me what you do yourself to make you dreams come true and what you learn from life when things go wrong. With me it seems to be things take time and I need to give myself that time.

Just love this :rotfl:and I guess what this teaches is to maximise your opportunities. I think several people have pointed out that what God, the universe or whatever higher power works for you gives you is opportunities to explore rather than a concrete answer to your wants; and optomising don't think I spelled that right - can anyone help?) opportunities works for non believers too.

Woke up to a wet, windy day today. Need to get my hair chopped and then go and hunt some rings for the kitchen curtains I am making. Shall carry on with the decluttering so hopefully will have a reasonable TADA list by this evening.

Morning All

Sorry I haven't had time to catch up so postive thoughts to all that need them I will try to read back later on today!!

I am absolutely seething at the moment, I spent yesterday at my 98year old Nans sheltered bungalow, putting it back together after some mindless thugs decided it was "ok" to burgle her and two of her neighbours on saturday night. :mad:
Luckily for Nan she was next door when they arrived, and they only took money from her, but (unluckily) they managed to trash the place whilst looking for it :eek:

So today my TADA list is rather huge, as nothing got done here yesterday

Cant catch up as I have been away. Now starting work. Just a quick post to say hi and I will be on the case of catch up later today.

50 day challenge going well so far. Little hiccup with the dog accommodation for Christmas so need to get back on the case again today. Other than that all going well.

Love the story re God will provide. For me this sums up why I am not religious (I was brought up Catholic but at the age of 20 realised that I was surrounded by people who did not put effort into their own abilities because the truly believed that things would be provided without any more effort than praying) but I do believe whole heartedly that we are all capable of great achievements.
