  • Well done Thrifty, treat yourself to nice, pampering soak, in a hot bubble-bath.
Lol at stage 3 by the time you're 50. I'm sure it will come much quicker than that. I did some sit ups this morning, thats my only concession to exercise apart from some brisk walking. Must be reasonably supple though cos can still do the splits, is a little bit eye-watering but DD still can't do it and hates the fact that I'm 21 years older than her and I can :rotfl:
Hopefully my cooking everything from scratch and loads of fruit and veggies will mean I'm in not to bad nick for 52. If anyone has ways of stopping things going south though, do share, lol.
I want my eyes de-bagged sob :rotfl:

I did Shred again today, after having to stop because my ankles blew up like balloons  I have decided to only do it every other day now :rotfl:So my 30 days will be at least 60, depending on the ankles.

Funny story about everything going south, I was in the shower, and by DGD aged 3 wanted to come in too....

she stood there and said "Nana those are your boobies, they have fallen down" she left the shower much quicker than she entered I can tell you :rotfl:

2 man job means 1 man doing the manual, and a WOMAN supervising :rotfl::rotfl:.
My lovely OH is a time served joiner and refuses to use the instructions on self-assembly stuff and always end up with a spare part or a couple of spare screws

  • And Homework, don't even get me started on that one.
I don't agree with homework for any age group. Call me unrealistic and living in the dark ages but my view is that I did not sned my child to school with chores to do from home (imagine the righteous indignation if a parent did that). SO where does the system get off sending children home with work to do from school. Children don't get the chance to be children anymore, that time is so precious and they grow up so quickly anyway, why should they have to spend their precious free time doing extra schoolwork.
Sorry - I thought homework was something we did 'in the dark ages' - not some new idea (sure I remember going home with homework 50 years ago)
TV - now that is new. At least, we eventually had one - that's ONE in the living room and with the programmes chosen by the parents - not TVs all over the house.
