Positive vibes going right out there for everyone.

Re education, I remembered a quote from someone on the Radio once re their schooling, he went to a school in Salford many many years ago, with freezing buildings, no water, heating and much deprivation...however he noted that every single person who left that primary school left being able to read and write....says a lot I think, re teaching and the manner and format of which is it taught.

Re memory I lost mine and most of my marbles, I have to say, last year when I battled Lyme Disease, a very frightening time but I managed to get through, however recall is still slow on bad days and I'm nowhere near as fast thinking as I used to be.

That was my most vulnerable and difficult event to overcome but at my worst I never doubted that I would find a way and a Doctor to treat me, the fact that the NHS Doctor's were unwilling to take me seriously meant that I had to be creative in my search for the right person...I found him and he is a specialist in treating Lyme but is also from my hometown so a double plus. I absolutely thank and am eternally grateful for the opportunity to have found him.

I still do not know my left and right and have to mentally think 'you write with your right' and almost act it out to recall which is which.

However I m a lateral thinker and never view situations as most of my peers do, I'm always saying things like...'Mmmm I don't see the situation like that, can't you see this and that'...I work with families going through extreme difficulties and have trained my brain to seek strengths and fortitude, no situation is ever beyond this, no matter how desperate.

Hope everyone is having a productive day. xx

Oh it is :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: good catch :D

Triker - glad you're on the road back to health, Lyme Disease is *terribly* serious, isn't it?

And, um, thats what my primary school was like. Freezing cold, toilets were outside across the playground, no water in the school itself, 50 to a class. I don't know of anyone who couldn't read or write in my year.

  • Positive vibes needed for Thrifty who has just completed her first ever Level 1 of Shred - may need a stretcher and first aid to get up off this sofa :rotfl:.

Long-term challenge - to be able to complete level 3 when I am 50 - 4 years to get there.

It's been nice knowing everyone :rotfl:

Well done Thrifty, treat yourself to nice, pampering soak, in a hot bubble-bath.
Lol at stage 3 by the time you're 50. I'm sure it will come much quicker than that. I did some sit ups this morning, thats my only concession to exercise apart from some brisk walking. Must be reasonably supple though cos can still do the splits, is a little bit eye-watering but DD still can't do it and hates the fact that I'm 21 years older than her and I can :rotfl:
Hopefully my cooking everything from scratch and loads of fruit and veggies will mean I'm in not to bad nick for 52. If anyone has ways of stopping things going south though, do share, lol.
I want my eyes de-bagged sob :rotfl:
