Don't be upset - he would have needed new ones afte rthe washing machine anyway. Washing trainers in the washing machine damaged all the support they have so after they are useless.

It is another matter that barefoot running is getting more and more popular. Most people I saw running in Washington had these funny sock like things on their feet and one girl didn't have anything. So, barefoot running - cheaper and better for you.

  • Quick plea - I am trying to set up an Excel workbook that I will be able to take on the road with me so that I can run my business "on the hoof"

Is there a very patient - spreadsheet obsessed individual who can help me connect everything together? It looks to me like quite a big job - but will perhaps be really simple to someone who understands the software better.

    Many thanks

Does this just apply to proper running trainers? I have always washed trainers on a cool wash, but they are not actually used for sport.

If not used for sport (and there is no reliance on the cushioning) it is fine. But the best way to wash them is the old fashioned one - with a cloth.

Erm - quick question - or do you think this is too naughty??

In the last 5 days I have sent books to

    USA
    South Africa
    Israel
    Australia and
    France

Does that mean I can call myself an "International Author" on the new website???:D:D

MG. 'internationally recognised' is probably what you are looking for.

It's all in the wording - you can't say you have been published in all these countries but you can say 'her books have sold in countries from the USA to Australia' etc
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

You only need to add South America and Antarctica and you could claim that your books have been read on every continent! Perhaps you could send one to the British Antarctic Survey. How cool would that be? (Sorry, couldn't resist!!)

How about arranging with organisations whose people you do the presentation for, to buy a copy of the book (maybe produced as a pocket version) for each participant? If this was one of your 'standard terms' and you could get them produced (maybe with corporate branding to that organisation) for a couple of quid each, that would spread the word nd make a few shillings for you?

If you were running a 'public' course yourself, the price of attendance could include a copy of the book? Also a programme of future courses in case colleagues, friends, families etc were interested in attending, having heard so much about it!

(Should help with the nine a day too)
