Been so busy trawling through my paperwork I might have missed this but....
Does anyone know how BoB's daughter is doing today?
MGFINALLY AND OFFICIALLY DEBT FREESmall Emergency Fund £500 / £500
Pay off all Debts £10,000 / £10,000
Grown Up Emergency Fund £6000 / £6000 :j
Pension Provision £6688/£23760 -
Now then.
OliveOyl - I noticed in there somewhere you were asking about a conference call? I don't have any advice about what to ask!Sorry! But didn't want your request to get lost in amongst all the underwear talk!
Speaking of which - I actually have a handmade corsetIn fact, there's, er, photographs of me on the internet wearing it and not very much else!
 :rotfl: :rotfl: My friend set up her own business making them a while back, and I was one of her guinea pigs, so got it for the price of the material (still darn expensive mind you!). It's GORGEOUS - bright shimmery turquoise, gold beads all down the front, laces up FABULOUSLY, it's great
Actually, it took her a while to finish it off, and she took two panels out of the front because it had been a little small - and by the time I got it I'd lost over a stone :rotfl: Which i've now put back on, so it should fit perfectly! :j :j Must wear it again soon :j :j (definitely 'outer wear' though not under wear!)
OOoh, and recently, my little sister (with 3 small sons - the eldest of whom is only 4 ) has set up making her own corsets too! :j :j I'm in the process of convincing her she needs to practice on me tooMight convince her she needs to teach me how to do it! :j :j (she just learned by reading a book and practicing on herself!) She's more than happy to do commissions though
And I am SO going on that bra making course next year! Sod being an academic - I'd far rather make underwear! :rotfl: (or actually, do both - I did, after all, insist on a patchwork lifestyle!)0 -
Mg Bob just posted on fb that her daughter is coming home tomorrow ! Whoop !Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Getting my coat...
Did the ironing singing along to a recording of Paul McCartney live in New York. That boy can hold a tune. I must have produced a few ml of serotonin at least.
Broke a tooth yesterday and lacerated my tongue in the night on a sharp bit. Have been trying to smear iglu on the side of my tongue.
Could life get any better than this?
Thanks for caring.

Oh dear Mike! I think life probably could get a *little* bit better (well done on the ironing/singing combination though - it's the only way!)0

Corsets! Wow! Probably couldn't do it with my fingers (arthritic) but Cheery - if I make money at what I have planned, I'll buy one of yours
I'm glad to hear Bob's DD is cominghome.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I probably shouldn't jump in and take over my little sister's area of business - I'm sure that's what I used to do as a kid, and I seem to remember she didn't like it very much...
(not sure she wants to make bras though!)

ouch to the tooth - will you have to go to the dentist? Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0
