Positive thoughts to everyone who needs them - I'm sort of coasting around these challenges - dipping in here and there - big positive step forward for me was contacting the Open University to see if I can ever finish my degree - now bear in mind that I started it in 1982 !!!! - stopped in 1990 as I couldn't afford it and then since about 2000 have made every excuse under the sun not to do anything about it!!! I've found out that I only need a maximum of 120 credits (two level 3 courses) to graduate with honours - the courses I did all those years ago still count !!!!
Started 1979
Dropped out 1981 - 1991
Graduated 1997 - BA
2004 A428: 2005 A424 - BA (Hons) Hum (Open)
2008 A219
Started working for an MA
2009 A860
2011 A861
Just checking - you did say you had registered didn't you??????0 -
Look what's happened now - the entire matrix is going to start going about in fabulously supportive and cheery underwear
Nothing preventing this applying to Mike!
*I do not know Mike and therefore am not and cannot make any assumptions - but they do 'supportive / control pants' for men now (don't you know!)*start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
Cheery Daff, I've told you before the importance of wearing fantastic knickers! Figleaves often have money off, free postage, free returns etc and I have the same blessing as you so Bravissimo and Figleaves for me. It's not cheap being busty. It's also not cheap being obsessed with underwear and corsetry. If only I could do this for a living!! Check out La Magia and What Katie Did to.Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73

Mike - no reason for blokes not to go about in supportive and cheery underwear at all! I wasn't only talking about bras. In fact, a lot of men's underwear drawers that I know of are far more full of saggy and grey old rags than the women's! Anyway, I'm sure there's plenty of other matrix members, female or otherwise, who have absolutely no interest in their underwear, or anybody else's. So I'm ever so sorry if I made you feel left out, I really didn't mean to!
When I was 16 I was measured in M&S - they evidently didn't do whatever size they measured me at, so instead of telling me, they kept bringing lots of other things that didn't fit  I left in tears, thinking I was a complete freakMy mum, bless her, marched me to Clay's in Chester (very small, independent, hundreds of bras
), had me measured properly, and bought me a couple of well fitting bras
I never looked back - and since then have never bought a bra from M&S or anywhere other than one of the more specialist places - which is why I'm used to paying about £35 for a bra, and largely why I haven't replaced any of mine for the last couple of years, even though they're all looking rather tatty. Since M&S now do have a wider selection of sizes, and since I'm older and far less likely to burst into tears, I might just try again
Maybe (although I'm not sure they *deserve* my custom after what they did to me!)

DT! What are you going to do? I thought they were the be all and end all?
Precisely they altered two bras for me to fit cost an arm and a leg but the bras themselves were not up to the job and broke within a couple of days  eventually got a refund but as that was the only reason I went to London it was an expensive trip for nothingDoes this explain your username ?
I thought that when I was typing :rotfl::rotfl:just another of my double troubles along with my two sets of twinsCheery_Daff wrote: »My mum, bless her, marched me to Clay's in Chester (very small, independent, hundreds of bras), had me measured properly, and bought me a couple of well fitting bras

I have been to Clays too
My present bra is a compromise and the shop has said they are not going to be stocking them any more which is why I got them in the sale which is a first. The only time in the last 15 years I have had a properly fitting bra was a nursing bra because they made them in one cup size extra to normal but I don't want to wear a bra with a zip in for everso no I don't know what I am going to do I have a further 17lbs to lose so I am hoping that it is all going to come off the top :rotfl::rotfl:

Unfortunately... work has totally got in the way this month, so I need to go back. I think tomorrow night will be my first visit back... it can't be tonight because I have an appointment with my homeopath, but tomorrow night is definite!
I am having trouble walking at the moment because I have plantar fascitis and it is giving me hell. But I am still doing it from building to building and I try and get up and walk around if I am at my desk for any length of time too. However, I do love swimming (and I am good at it!). I loathe the gym.
Thanks for the reminder to get back to it. :A) by using a pedometer (not so good when you can't walk easily) and using a pedometer/food diary tool via work's health insurance. I set myself a challenge of doing a 26 mile charity walk in the middle of the year and got sponsorship early so I couldn't drop out. I've ruthlessly thrown out clothes as they got too big for me so I can't grow back into them.
The point that others have made about the need to make the best of yourself at whatever size you are is an important one. And having good, flattering and supportive underwear really helps you make the most of yourself. Once you start looking good and feeling positive, looking after yourself becomes easier.
At the start of this year I never thought I'd be fit enough to run, and now I am (admittedly back to doing 2km at a time after 6 weeks off, but I can do it and sometimes even enjoy it). Don't push yourself too hard too soon - it took me a while to realise that there was no point in running to get fit... I needed to get fit enough to run
Given that the challenges are about changing our lives, how about giving yourself a 30 day challenge to get yourself ready for improving your health, fitness and body image? So start getting into the routine of going swimming etc so you make time for it, even if you don't work too hard at it. Work on getting the plantar facitis sorted out (have you tried sports massage... painful, but might work - did wonders for my sprained ankle last year ), working out some healthy and delicious meal plans, evicting the unflattering clothes from your wardrobe (pack up any that are too small, you may need them later, and they may be flattering later - you can always get rid of them if they aren't) and investing in some decent underwear and exercise gear so you feel good about yourself now.
Hope this is useful... now, does anyone have any recommendations for a hotel in Hong Kong? The one work usually use is full (I'm going on Monday, flights have finally been booked), and the website for the two alternatives (Harbour Grand Hong Kong and Harbour Grand Kowloon) appears to be down... one of the things I DO like about work is that they do put us up in decent hotels - the last job used to make me stay is grotty places - I don't mind basic, but I DO mind dirty! ETA - website now working... how to choose between them???0 -
OK I need some positive vibes ebay is driving me mad I am trying to set up a sellers account. I have done my listing had the telephone id call and then it keeps saying there is a technical fault and it can't progress this has been since before lunch. I have sent them an email but last time they took days to answer and I need to get this listing done I am running out of time.
