Just before my 40th I bought some make up, got my hair done and felt really good about myself. And then on the day had a solitary evening meal of curry and cider after I had put DD to bed. Month later met BF and we have been together now for almost 1.5 years. :j

I would like to tell you what I am planning for my 50th. I want to do the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage and go across the US on a motobike (yes in lathers). Don't even want to mention my plans for my 60th...

Hi Firewalker, now this reply is going to be very difficult to achieve due to using my phone whilst relaxing in the bath but here goes.

    First, I am
to imagine anyone trying to cling onto a bike in 'their lathers' brilliant typo!!

Secondly your previous post of the rsa link to YouTube. I was spellbound and even though the actual content started to slightly baffle 'me I stuck with it and thoroughly enjoyed it as well as was inspired and educated. Thanks so much.

OliveOyl - I will inform the kits for kids fb page of my running totals for the collection tomorrow. Too much like hard work whilst in 'me bath!

MG - unbelievable news about the tv interest. Well done everyone - yep, positivity and community spirit = result!

Mike - please don't leave us!!! Who else can j talk to about my return to creativity. Oh yeah - did you see the article about fonts (or to be traditionalist - founts) in yesterdays observer? Good stuff! I got all excited about Caslon and bembo and the history of 'upper case and lower case'. Don't even get 'me started on 'em' and 'en' dashes!!!

I don't know: what with Firewalker's bike-riding in lathers and dirtyepic's "big wrinkly", I'm really not sure that this forum is a suitable place for a person of my refined sensibilities!!

Firewalker. Thanks for the link. Interesting stuff. Oddly enough, I worked in the building opposite the RSA for getting-on for 20 years until I retired. How spooky is that?
  • Just a quickie; I guess this may sound depressing in a certain light but I don't mean it that way - every day is just one more day, even on your birthday you are only one day older than the day before so really it isn't such a big deal and any day can turn into a special day, you never know what will happen next (especially on here :rotfl:) And of course people put good news on FB or wherever, if they had bad news they either wouldn't bother to tell everyone about it or they might even lie and make up what they would like to happen, who knows what's really going on? If you have a lovely time on your birthday, great! If it's just an ordinary day, no doubt you will have a lovely day another time.

Off to bed now, goodnight all! Tomorrow is another day (well actualy it isn't, it's today already!)

Sorry for clogging up your thread last night MG - I can't post everything on my own diary because ex and his family read it.....of course, they could be following me around the boards, in which case there is no escape, but there is less likelihood of them reading my feeling crap posts elsewhere!

    Thank you :kisses3:

About the vision I gave you on the motobike - you gave me some ideas there (after all the Hairy Bikers are on tv):rotfl:. As to my spelling - God, I have to do something about it. Probably the next think to learn...This is one really difficult language, it is.
