    Anna has told me today it takes up to 6 weeks. When I said I've been looking at it for about 10 weeks, there was no response. Ah well. It's something they're addressing...

  • My daughter was interested in 02 mobile/home broadband.

    She walked into a shop to ask about a 'wireless dongle'. She was told if she got the dongle & topped up 10 quid every month for 3 months she would get 5 quid off her broadband. So she went ahead and signed up for both.

    So first she tries the dongle. Doesn't work. Goes back to O2 shop and they mess with it for 3 HOURS. Still doesn't work. They tell her to go to the Apple shop - in central London, where the waiting time is around 3 hours - Great!

    Then she calls up O2 Broadband to get connected. She has been assured in the shop she can get O2 Broadband on her number. But now they tell her that they can't give it to her on this exchange...

    ...and they tell her that the wireless 'dongle' would not give her a discount either.

    So where was the shop?

    IT WAS THE O2 SHOP in the O2 ARENA!!!!

    Great job boys!!!! Brilliant advertising for your service!

    Unfortunatly,your daughter fell into the trap of not doing her homework first & jumping at the 'specisl' offers in store.

    Salesmen will promise the earth to get a sale,never believe a word they say,always check it out first.

    Hope she get's it resolved.

    If I this was my only option and I did not get a refund on the box; I'd have been more annoyed. Since everything is ok by me (8mb constantly with Sky and a good price, been up for over a month now), I'm tagging it along to see how it plays out.

    The guy in the shop sold me it too. I'd done the research and they said "I'd be up and running in a couple of days". There is/was no mention of the address check on Capscan...

    Ok, another go, 3 months/12 weeks down the line.

    Craig told me the same as per usual...but put me through to a tech guy! The line went from ok to shocking and couldn't hear what he said...I did hear something about a stop or something on the package but then it went dead.

    Should have been on the system at the initail stage at the process.

    Ah well, Sky isn't giving me 8mb now...they've tapped it up to 12mb!!! Nice to see that they've looked at what my line can handle and give it close to it (which is 13mb). And (as their advert says) I've had no peak throttle and only 1 down so far (which was at 23.30 anyway!).
