Yeah some men do get walked over, i see it happen alot and i'm like !!!!!!! I personally charm men with tales of how much I don't spend and how I hate clothes/shoe/handbag shopping. Seroiously I hate the way that men assume you like these things just cause your a female! I prefer to be less shallow and more honest about myself. Therefore I love Star Trek and all things sci-fi, playing games be it online or console games, reading and drinking most people under the table :P

You are very bitter lightSwitch. Get over it!

Not bitter. Just responding to someone that doesn't know me making personal accusation.

That is because you are sensible. You probably know what counts and what doesn't.

You can't blame a guy for thinking like that though.
They might make these assumptions initially then wait to be proved wrong.

Lightswitch - you can believe what you want about woman. You obviously were in love with someone and they hurt you, however tarnishing everyone with the same brush won't do you any favour. You have one life - live it.

There are many woman out there that are not "golddiggers".

I am female, own my own house and support myself from what I earn. Nothing I own is because a man has bought it for me. I am very capable of doing most things for myself without the need for anyone else. If I go out I do not let men buy me drinks and if I have then I will resipricate. I never owe anybody anything and have always stood on my own two feet.

I have met several men over the years that expect me to pay for everything. I have been cheated on. I have met utter ****. But do you know what there are decent men out there and woman.

One day you will meet that person.

A few of you here equate this whole thing to sex. Unfortunately it is the gold digging women who equate this whole thing to sex.

I was just as bad? Really, so you were there then? Hmm
What im saying is you didnt say no at the time..

    sorry to double post:
But why when it gose wrong do men always blame the woman (yes it dose work both ways as well) "shes a golddigger" giving a woman gifts is not her being a gold digger. And men are quite happy to give flowers when theyve done something wrong, is she a gold digger then?

Soceity does let women get away with this as some men tend to think with things other than their brain (i think you know what!) so those women will assume "if i have sex with him, i get what i want"! and they do.

Stop blaming all women, and get out their and find another woman. But be warned, you start accusing a woman of this, you wont find many to put up with...wait...the gold diggers will if you buy them gifts.

I know there are good women out there. Just warning men how to save thousands in one stroke.

I'm not tarnishing women, just the golddiggers who happen to be women.

I totally believe you but, I've never known a guy from my circle of friends over the years that expected his woman to pay for everything. Never met these kind of men. But it happens the other way regularly, but that is OK because, if you read my posts above, you will see that I have explained that phenomenon.

"Damsel in distress" no wonder you got done over! Stop looking for a woman who "needs" you to help her. If she can't cope with the everyday on her own then how the F*^% is she going to be any use to anyone?! Men who look for women like that are just trying to boost their need to feel more "macho". Find a woman who can take care of herself in all things, then you know you're there because she likes you.

I didn't say no because I didn't realise she was a gold digger until my money sorted her life out which made me redundant to her needs.

When you are naive, you don't recognise them so quick, hence my thread to save guys 1000s of pounds.

I'm not blaming all women just the golddiggers.
Women have a tendency to want things from guys as this is how they are taught, and men have a tendency to give. Gold diggers take advantage of this order of things and fleece decent guys, guys that are just in it for the sex don't get fleeced, they see it as value for money.

That is exactly my thesis on this thread.
