Yeah, no. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but please don't attempt to disguise your misogynist ideas as money saving tips thank you so very much.Unfortunately I have become very cynical about women that have little to their name other than a job and rented accommodation. They are usually looking for some poor shmuck to get them out of their situation and propel them into the chanels, armanis and luis vittons.:coffee:Coffee +3 Dexterity +3 Willpower -1 Ability to Sleep
Playing too many computer games may be bad for your attention span but it Critical Hit!0 -
We get it. You got dumped."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

There was a thread recently where a lady had been similarly conned by a man in her life, have you taken the same attitude to her?Don't tar us all with the same brush....you must have been getting something out of the relationship too otherwise you would not have spent or given her all that money. If this woman took you for a ride, you must carry some of the blame. perhaps you were flattered?
Yes some people are heartless and will take people for what they can get, but don't lose faith in the good ones out there.I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0 -

I would (and I am a woman) - most people get conned through flattery, having their ego massaged. If something is too good to be true, it usually is!Gone ... or have I?0 -

These are great money saving tips. THere are probably a few guys on this site in this situation right this second. If they heed this advice it will save them thousands. Thousands that will take them many months or years to save up again.
This is real, not misogenistic.
It is hard for me to trust women with hard luck stories. I used to think " damsels in distress" now I'm think "hmm a possible gold digger".0 -

Which is what ?0 -
I'm just glad my Russian "mail order bride" is nothing like what the OP described their experience to be.0

It's not just women, though I do think lots of girls seem to have champagne taste on beer money. Plenty of stories in the papers about 40 plus GB women who 'fall in love' with Turkish waiters in their 20's. It's easy to be taken in, though and I'm sorry you have been lost money to a gold digger.
Girls - stop waiting for a knight in shining armour to rescue you, get a decent job and be in control of your own life. Guys - look beyond the flashy, fake tans and find someone who appreciates you for who you are. Some women are very high maintenance.
OP, there are lots of women out there who aren't money grabbing wasters, and I'm sure you will find one soon as you sound like a decent bloke or you wouldn't have given/loaned her the money in the first place.0 -

That is the problem. If you are decent the gold diggers hone in. You are doing the right thing whilst they have ulterior motives. Like I mentioned, you discover them when they start having hissy fits, usually over presents, that's when you pack their bags and put them in the front garden and save yourself 1000s!0
