Another weekend, another 48 hour clearout sesh!! We've got a broken chair and an old fluorescent light bulb that need taking to the tip, so I've got my fingers crossed we don't get snowed in and have to keep the junk for another week!
Already got my first batch of washing for the week on, hoping I can get it all done tonight so needed a head start
LOADS of post to send tomorrow morning though
Will be bribing my fella with bacon butties and cups of tea so I can stay in the warm
Two things to return as well so once they get back where they're going it'll be another £123 back in my bank (until it makes it journey over to the CC at least!) :rotfl: 0 -
So far this weekend has turned out to be quite boring really!

Did a fair bit of sorting out though which is always nice - went through all my uni/college stuff and binned things that I didn't even realise I still had - I obviously don't need them if they've been there for the last four years not being used so why oh WHY have I kept them this long?! Who knows!
Returned my unwanted goodies yesterday so will be frantically checking my inbox all this week to see when the refunds are due to land in my account! I had to pay to send both items back which is really annoying, but there was no alternative so it had to be done.
I've got an exam on Wednesday that I could really do with getting more revision done for - I just can't seem to motivate myself these days, after 4 years of studying already, now that my marks actually count for something I just don't want to know - I just want it to be over!! :mad:0 -
Good luck with the exam!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Well my exam was AWFUL.
Felt completely fed up afterwards and right on pattern went shopping. Spent £29 at Primark - which isn't too bad - but as I'm STILL waiting on refunds to get back to my account I am now even more skint than I was before. Which was VERY.
Gah. So frustrated with myself, but at least I didn't buy anything I wasn't going to get come payday, so will send an extra £30 when I get paid to my CC to cover it :mad:0 -
Sorry to hear about the exam, it's always a downer when they don't go well."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Forums back up already!

I sent emails to La Senza & Irregular Choice yesterday evening and lo and behold have had refunds from both this morning! Neither are actually back in my account, but at least I know they're on their way which is great as I think there is about £7 left in my bank after my DDs come out in the next week or so!
Have a few things I need to package up and post - listed and sold a Wii game on Amazon earlier today which is always good!
Need to sort out food for the next week, check through the cupboards & freezer, and FINALLY get round to actually listing all my stuff on eBay - what a fun way to spend a Saturday night! Ah well, at least it's cheap

Still didn't get round to my ebay listings last night, but I did sort myself out a spreadsheet for my money stuff.
I've got a Word file right now that just has a list of things that need paying for every month - but extra things I buy don't get listed.
I actually cannot believe how much money I *should* have left over every month. It made me feel a bit sick how much I'm just wasting on crap every time when I've got a CC and an OD to be paying off

I've never worked out how much I waste on crap, but I know it is far too much. I should do a spending diary, but I've always wussed out!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

So I started my spending diary on Monday - my refunds FINALLY went into my bank so I do actually have some money to spend which is nice! I've got a couple of bits of food shopping and ordered a new pair of trainers (less than half price in the sale + student discount!)
I'm really glad I made my spreadsheet though! It has made it SOOOOOOO much easier for me to see exactly where my money is going next month! I've organised a night out and I want to get some new specs, so deciding in advance what I'm shopping for has made it clear what I can cut back on or hold off to the next month
It's my very own little crystal ball and I'm loving it!! 0 -
Quick pre-payday update
(only 3 days to go thank goodness!!)
Had to go into uni today just to hand in a piece of work - seems like a massive waste of 3 hours getting the train there and back but at least it's done! Went for a shop around while I was there - spent the massive sum of £6 on a cardigan :A
Sent another £20 to my credit card - I should have a fair few payments going into my bank in the next few days from Paypal/Amazon so might even be able to send a few more ££s that way before payday!
Reduced the credit limit on my credit card as well - I don't actually have the card, don't know the number/exp date/security code as I chopped it up as soon as it arrived (I only wanted the 0% interest deal, not the temptation to spend more!) but at least it reduces even further the opportunity to rack up any more debt! :T0
