It's looking a lot better than last time already :T This month has been expensive though - cat's jabs and a new tumble drier - which has put me back a little, but my goal of being debt free by the end of 2011 is still in sight :D

That SOA is looking better, you should definitely be able to be debt free by the end of next year, well done!

  • Quick update tonight, bought a few bits of xmas pressies - including some for the Secret Santa things I'm taking part in on another forum, this month is getting VERY tight money wise though

Will be able to get to work and eat for the next 2 weeks but that might be about it!! Roll on payday!! :rotfl:
  • No spend day today :D

Bought some wrapping paper at Morrisons yesterday with the food shop (doesn't count when you buy things at the same time as groceries!!) so spent this afternoon wrapping pressies!! Can't wait for the tree to go up and make the place look festive - I'm putting our decorations up two weeks today - better way of spending my payday weekend than spending :A

Wrapping presents already - that is organised!

I'm usually one for putting the tree up early too. Haven't decided when yet though!

  • Well I've neglected my diary lately haven't I?? It's a lot easier to feel like you're working away at your debts/savings when you actually have some money to throw at them, and last month I really didn't :(

So pretty much all of my xmas presents are out of the way now - I've probably spent more than I should have, but that's always the case with me! I really need to get into keeping a spending diary - one of my new years resolutions for sure :A

I've managed to clear one of my credit cards completely!! My boyf finally paid me back some money he's owed me for the last couple of years so I used it to get rid of a card - it's SO GOOD knowing that it's like a whole debt paid off! :D

I have spent a small fortune this month though - £385 to be precise  I booked tickets to the Isle of Wight Festival for next year (for me & Owen - his ticket is for his xmas & birthday pressie!!) Not sure we'll be having a BIG holiday so this'll make up for that, PLUS I asked my mum to lend me the money rather than extending my overdraft/credit card limit to sort it (should really have saved up but I didn't realise the tickets went on sale so early until three days before they did!!) So interest free loan on that one and already started paying it back when I got paid last Friday! :p

Got the xmas tree up today - had a xmas dinner flavour pizza (Morrisons, was OK but wouldn't buy again) and mince pies to celebrate!! Spent WAY too much on food shopping yesterday, but will try and reign our spending in for the rest of the month to make up for it! ;)
  • Accidentally managed a NSD yesterday! :D Always nice when you realise after the fact, it doesn't feel like you had to try and somehow that's easier?!

Well done on paying off a debt! Very satisfying!

Well done on the NSD yesterday too!

  • Well three weeks left to pay day and the money situation for this month is going OK so far :D Paid off all my bills and things, and still having money for food and travel etc for the rest of the month, I'm just desperately trying to fight my urge to spend now though

I don't NEED any new clothes!! I have so many already (just the ones that I can't fit into would be like getting a whole new wardrobe!!). But they're all shiny and new and I WANT THEM!!

Need to remember that is what got me into this mess in the first place, and that if I just don't bother buying things I don't NEED until this time next year I'll be debt-free!! Then it'll be like Christmas anyway getting an extra £300 a month to play with!!

Come on Sarah - BE GOOD!! :A

Step away from the clothes! :rotfl:

Alternatively, sell all the ones that don't fit you and spend your earnings on a nice new outfit!
