Stick to the facts. Getting personal is very low.

    What's personal about that?

HA! HA! Far from it. As I've said here before, I only ever personally do well under the Tories!

But I can't see how anyone can believe this is good news.

More to the point, you cant believe you lost the arguement that house prices are set for a double dip fall like many predicted and you mocked.

    Reality bites sometimes.

I don't wont HPs to go up? Where did I say that?

Flat would do me. No good will come from HPs falling off a cliff.

Apart from increased global competitiveness in the high tech export market as production costs will be lower?

    Take this as an example.

Something going down in value can be good news, just like something going up in value can be bad news.

WOOT. more kids are being shagged by peados!! Great child shagging is up...

So why are you supporting the previous government that allowed them to treble over a decade?

    By doing what?

By crushing what little consumer confidence there was.
By creating a climate of fear.

You can suggest what you like. The truth is the truth - the Tories have caused a massive property crash because they have massively damaged consumer confidence.

Meanwhile, on planet Earth, new Labour ran up a not small defecit. They also presided over several of our banks getting into severe financial trouble (yeah, yeah, it woz the Yank`s fault - fact is, our banks must have been dangerously exposed to what the Yanks were getting up to, and ultimately Labour had the powers to prevent most/all of that risk, but didn`t).

And anyway, property has crashed has it ? I doubt Hamish would admit that, and even I would say that it hasn`t yet happened.

BTW. I suspect you might the the type of person who has a large mortgage, and is quite partial to the odd bit of fun with a credit card or two. Not that there`s anything wrong with that, as long as you can afford to pay it back.

Where did I ever say that? You write like you "know" me? I've never "spoke" to you before? Or have I argued with one of your sockies? (not that I've ever predicted what HPs would do!)

As I've said I don't care about HPs. I do care about what's best for the economy.

    Thought for the Day

You may be able to buy a cheaper house BUT will you still have a job which will enable you to pay for it?

Would that be the kind of consumer confidence defined by "bung it on the plastic and worry about paying for it in a few years somehow"?
