because you bought a house and don't believe house prices will drop 50%.

they're a sad bunch but at least they're only on t'internet and don't mix with real people...
I'm but not sure you can say "because THEY are on the internet" when in fact you yourself are on the internet. Suspect we are all equal saddos the only difference being our view on the direction of house prices.

Oh no, I'm quite sure the people who run sockies to make sure they get lots of airtime and amuse themselves are bigger "saddos".
Naturally you'll disagree but you've got VI in this matter.

I think that's a little unfair. I haven't been very active at all lately.

You could argue people who spend time looking for sockies, or even knowing what sockies are are sad.

I suspect when the debate is opened out, that multiple posts on a thread about the Halifax price index is the true test of sadness and lack of anything better to do.

Hmmm, I'm not sure which side I should pick.

The side sitting on the internet calling other people saddo's cus they are sat on the internet.

Or the side sat on the internet arguing with said saddo's, trying to make them out to be bigger saddo's purely on the fact they know every little bit about said saddo because they spend their time on the internet studying said saddos.

Hmmm. Tough choice. I'm off to get a kit kat.

i'd say the ones the resort to using multiple user Id's or even the ones that send abusive PM's to other users of the forum...

but that's another topic... if only mewbie was here to see this Halifax Index price drop, he's be grabbing for the tissues right now...

Interesting whats happening in the USA, they are holding off repossession and let people stay in their homes to try and stall the house price plunge.

Wonder if UK will resort to such extreme measures?

It would appear that the present government are quite happy to have a HPC and have happily encouraged it by damaging consumer confidence.

Now the economy will truly tank and we will have a financial crisis part 2.

I can't see that there is much to celebrate here but I'll leave you fools to it!

Or maybe they realise having an economy based on a bubble is not sustainable in the medium term and have decided to try and sort it out. As opposed to the last lot that just went on pretending all was OK until it hit the buffers.
