Cheaper Oil for Fuel?

Excluding VAT, but still a good price with the extra £10 discount don't you think?
Total cost for 500 litres including VAT
£115.24
That's a great price Iris. :money:
Whenever I have tried this company for a quote they say they don't cover my area.
Though I still think we're heading for sub-20ppl in the near future.
Because (as taxsaver rightly says above) wholesale prices have fallen (and continue to fall) much faster than is reflected in current retail prices - which (as I have said before) is not exactly unusual pricing policy at this time of year.
So especially if the weather remains mild, I really am expecting sub-20ppl soon after this holiday period.0 -
With wholesale (financial markets data) having fallen by 27.5% since I placed my last order on 1st September (at 28.29ppl), it is more than a little disappointing that this weekend's oil-club price for my area is as high as 27.00ppl, which is only 4.4% lower! Funny how prices come down more slowly than they rise!
I'm not happy with that price, so will be directly shopping around local suppliers and delaying my top-up order if needs be.
Shopped around locally (north Cambridgeshire) and managed to get a local supplier down to 26.4ppl +vat so a total of £277.20 (inc. vat) for 1,000 litres. Still nowhere near as good as it should be, given current wholesale prices, but I want to keep my tank topped up at the moment. I shall keep watching with interest though.
Incidentally, https://www.heatingoil.co.uk for me came in at 27.86 ppl +vat, nowhere near as great a price as they gave to Iris!!
If you feel my comments are helpful then I'd love it if you 'Thanked' me!

I find to get the best price online you need to buy on a weekend, preferably Sunday.
I have tried again today, but the price has gone up by 3ppl.0 -
My oil was delivered yesterday:D
Didn't expect the delivery until next week at the earliest.
Excellent service.0 -
Prices still on their way down ......... 25.15ppl + vat @ The Oil Club here on the Lincs coast.
Heading towards 20ppl! :j0 -
As if any evidence were needed of how careful you have to be when buying oil (or anything else), my local oil supplier, which I have bought from many times, just tried to charge me more than I paid in August for 1,000 litres of oil. This despite the very considerable wholesale reductions that have taken place.
No doubt they are relying on customers who don't pay attention - or don't check online.0 -
Most oil companies will try this nowadays. They will try & charge you whatever they think they can get away with. You just have to do a bit of research before contacting anyone now.if i had known then what i know now0

Still heading down towards the 20ppl mark
:
This weekend's price here is 24.25 ppl + vat. :j and crude prices have fallen recently too, meaning (in theory) that heating oil prices SHOULD follow suit. :cool:0 -
Us poor folk with mere gas CH will be getting jealous!0
