Cheaper Oil for Fuel?

Try Boiler Juice for an average price and then phone up suppliers and challenge them to beat it. They often will. Its mild out there and so the oil suppliers have less demand right now and are hurting a bit.
I had a company call me the other day to ask if I needed any as the lorry was in the area.....
In my area of S.W. Scotland, Boiler Juice prices are consistently higher than I can get by using a local firm.:(
Price 2 days ago here was 32.8p/l plus vat for immediate delivery. Boiler Juice are quoting 36.9 for delayed delivery and 37.9 for immediate.0 -
Seeing as it was reported on the news today that petrol will be coming down below the £1 a litre mark by Christmas, dare we hope to see another fall in the price of heating oil?The world’s leading oil producers are preparing for the possibility of oil prices halving to $20 a barrel after a second day of financial market turmoil saw a fresh slide in crude, the lowest iron ore prices in a decade, and losses on global stock markets.0

Ah yes, the $20/barrel possibility.
Well, The Oil Club are quoting - for, they say, the last delivery before the New Year - 26.25ppl + vat for min. 500l.
Lincolnshire Coast.
Let's be honest, prices of heating oil falling at this time of year is unheard of in recent years.
Plus - if oil prices do continue the downward trend which is widely forecast - even a really cold winter should not have the effect of increasing prices (significantly, certainly).
If we have a mild winter we could well see sub-20ppl prices as crude prices fall. :j0 -
I was just happy to pay sub 30ppl. If it gets any cheaper I will consider another tank. It wasn't too long ago I was paying 79 ppl. That was a very cold winter in this house0

The last ordering weekend before Christmas ....... and prices are still falling (if very slightly). :j
The Oil Club for the Lincs. coast are quoting 25.85 ppl + vat, as usual for orders 500litres+.
Are we heading for sub-20p/litre as I suggested in an earlier post? :think:0 -
With wholesale (financial markets data) having fallen by 27.5% since I placed my last order on 1st September (at 28.29ppl), it is more than a little disappointing that this weekend's oil-club price for my area is as high as 27.00ppl, which is only 4.4% lower! Funny how prices come down more slowly than they rise!
I'm not happy with that price, so will be directly shopping around local suppliers and delaying my top-up order if needs be.If you feel my comments are helpful then I'd love it if you 'Thanked' me!0 -
Have just ordered 500 litres from the Heating Oil Co uk https://heatingoil.co.uk/
Price 23.95p per litre
Use Code FLASH-P10 for £10 off0 -

Excluding VAT, but still a good price with the extra £10 discount don't you think?
Total cost for 500 litres including VAT
£115.240 -
Hmmm... they are quoting me 26.something.
I shall continue to hold on.0
