If anything, it's looking higher, I would say. Brent was flitting around the 110$ mark, now it's up at $115.

Certainly, French heating oil prices have been inching up all week.

It could be that the gasoil crack (price of heating oil to Brent) has weakened, meaning that HO prices are lagging crude, but too lazy to check!

Should cut my oil consumption by half as I have a number of trees that are "in the way" !!!
Better chop em down quick then, as they need a long time to dry out.
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.
  • True, but most are Ash trees and when cut, moisture content is less than 20% and they burn right grand ;)

Note my avatar, that's green Ash!

Just had to pay 62.95p per litre inc VAT for 1,500 litres, cheapest in South Cheshire

It was 57.12p inc VAT last week - should have bought it then
  • I just got a voucher through post from !!!!!!!!!. Are they any good? Cheap?
  • Sorry didn't know couldn't post company names. The oil company is online only. They suggest they offer oil value.
  • Anyone bought any home heating oil lately? Just wondered what sort of price I will have to pay. We live in a big old house in Norfolk & usually top up with 2000 litres at a time.

Seems to be around 60p a litre at the moment.
  • Has anyone heard of Community Energy Plus, a charity in Cornwall that has started an oil buying club?
