I am in NI also and I am looking to purchase 1800 litres. The best quote I can get is £1035.72 delivered with Boilerjuice!

The price of home heating oil seems to have come down a little bit today because I was quoted £1030 for 1800 litres with Pattersons although there website is still showing £1035 for 1800 litres. Boilerjuice is quoting £1035.72 for 1800 litres, they have stayed the same since I started getting quotes from them two weeks ago.

It won't alter my attitue which is, and will continue to be:

    * use boilerjuice as a quick first-port-of call to establish a price for the day,
*then shop around other sites and national/local suppliers
*and finally haggle/negotiate the best deal possible from whoever will offer it

if that's boilerjuice, fine. If it's not, fine.

I agree, I can't really see why people slag BJ off tbh, they give you a price, don't hold a gun to your head and make you take it.

Here in NI I use http://www.cheapestoil.co.uk/default.aspx for the daily price then go and ring around. Seeing as they arent supplying and are only listing oil trends and prices its usually spot on for local prices

They cover the rest of the uk as well

As for boilerjuice, if theres a buyers weekend then I will check what the price is and if its cheap enough Ill go with them. Its usually my local supplier delivering

The price of oil is still coming down because I have just checked Patterson's website and it is £1020 for 1800 litres. :j Boilerjuice are still quoting £1035.72 for 1800 litres.

Does anyone know if the price of oil is going to continue coming down?

In case anyone is interested the price of oil is going up again. Hubby telephoned Patterson's and a female said she could sell him 1800 litres for £1010. He got her talked down to £1005 :money: and it will be delivered on Monday! :j Boilerjuice are still quoting £1035.72!

We, well hubby, has saved us £30.72 by watching the way the price of oil has been going and by talking nicely to the sales woman. :T :j  :money:

    Hi All

Just under 55p/litre best I can get in the Cotswolds today - beats St Andrews I guess but still seems expensive - looking back it was 25p in the good old days (2007)...
