Thanks Brizzled and beanielou.
Mr P has been very kind despite my erattic behaviour. Last night he lit the chiminea and we had dinner and a cup of tea (not wine) outside and watched a beautiful sunset to together.
I know I need a break so I am joing the WI trip out to K3ndal for the day next week. Mr P saw I had written a note to say I need to pay £10 today so he emptied his pockets for meI have enough to go to a coffee morning today too and to see some nice people.
I really do need to start going out a bit more, socially.
Mr P last weekend asked me not to mention money so much. I think I am becoming a bit obsessed but that is what happens when you are trying to sort out debts. At least if I go out with other people they know nothing about my financial situation and it gives me a different focus.
When we sat out last night money and debt wasn't mentioned once.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Glad Mr P is helping out :T. I think when you are stuck in with nothing to do and not seeing anyone socially, then the only thing there IS to talk about is the debt. Hopefully you will enjoy your days out over this next week and it will provide more conversation topics!

Hi Pooh, sorry I have been missing for so long.
Well done with the veggies. Yet another year that I have promised myself that we will grow some but haven't. Hmmm, you have inspired me - I'm sure I could at least sow some lettuce seeds somewhere, I buy loads of bagged salad and they are at least £1 each. I shall check the price of seeds and read whether I have left it too late.
Doesn't it feel odd when the family move out and the house becomes quiet? It takes a bit of getting used to, but as you know it is SO much cheaper. I feel a bit guilty saying it, but actually I enjoy the tranquility too!
You definitely deserve a couple of away days, and don't begrudge yourself the odd bottle of wine either!LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Hello Happy, I have missed you. It is quiet here. Just one son still at home but he works long hours. Since DS3 went last week DS1 has taken to helping me with dinner which is great. It is definitely cheaper, cheese is lasting longer in the fridge
Lettuce seeds can be sown right through the Summer. And if anything will grow here it will grow anywhere. It is a huge saving on packets of lettuce, and very fresh.
We bought a packet of 'speedy seeds' to get baby leaves to cut. It recommends sowing every 10 days or so. I am hoping they will grow and the hens don't get them. We have raised vegetable beds with chicken wire on top to keep the chooks out!!
plmbl, I should have called to see you. I didn't realise you were close to the airport.
My chiropractor said I have the wrong sort of bed for my back and I should look for a cheap one on 3bay. I asked on Freecycle and have just foud an offer in my junk mail from 26th May
I have replied and fingers crossed I will hear back from the lovely lady offering it.
NSD today after my extravagant day yesterday when I spent £12, £10 on my trip next week and £2 for DD and me at coffee morning.
And I will buy a bottle of wine this weekend as a special treat. All the things we took for granted are treats now and we appreciate them a lot more.
ETA Oops, still missing out the odd 'n'. My keyboard still has a missing key but I can press the little plastic bit beneath, just miss sometimes.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Lettuce seeds bought and sowed! Speedy seeds like yours because I'm not very patient. Also some rocket and some coriander. Fingers crossed that I don't manage to kill them!LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Happy I am pleased I inspired you to get your speedy seeds started. Yours will probably pop up before mine. I am 14-1500 feet above sea level. I usually say ours should grow better because we are nearer the sun.
turfy, I am at home too and not getting out can get me a bit obsessed. When I see DD now I have to make a super human effort not to mention money.
I would love a poly tunnel but as we are keeping the views clear for the holiday cottage it isn't possible. I have my eye on a litttle bit of land, just abouth 30m x 30m. It would make a brilliant addition to my garden and I could possibly put a poly tunnel or the chooks even some solar panels there. At the moment I can but dream
The cottage hasn't been let this week which is so odd as it is a busy time of year. It is free next week too. I have just remembered that it was booked by an Australian couple earlier this year and they had to cancel as he was gravely ill. I have a booking for the weekend after next so a trickle of money coming in.
I had a lovely day in K3ndal and my friend and I wet to every charity shop. I have 2 new tops, a cardigan and a skirt. I was feeling a bit low on clothes after I sold mine on 3bay. Not everything I should add:D It just feels like it. So £12 on much needed clothes and I got 3 books for £5 (new) for DH for his b'day next weekend.
The family have arranged to take DH to Durham for the cricket this Sunday. I have volunteered to stay at home and cook a dinner for everyone. He knows nothing about it yet. We have arranged for his friend to go with him too.
When I was out yesterday I suddenly felt really odd and was unable to eat my lunch-totally unheard of for me. When DH collected me from the bus he said he had been having headaches and a very growly tum. As I didn't want to eat he went to the 5par and bought his favourite dinner (pie and chips) for £4.50 for DS1 and him. I had a bath and went to bed early, slept for 12 hours so I must have needed it. I just feel very achey today so will be taking things easy.
I still haven't found a free/very cheap bed but will be continuing my seach today.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
