I didn't manage to get a 0% credit card. The post office has changed our address slightly and now it doesn't match all the finances I have now or have had previously. At least I know more about why we have been refused.

Electricity company are going to phone me on Monday to discuss repayments.

I have listed a few more items on ebay and will add more tomorrow.

plmbl I am being very careful with my £1.86. :D
DD has put in an A$da order today for delivery tomorrow and has added some things we really need.

I have done a freezer and store cupboard inventory and have meal planned to end of January. We can get by without buying much except fresh vegetables and milk.

I forgot to mention yesterday that I found 6 bags of lamb's liver. As two sons don't like it in main meals I plan to make some pate from it. Strangely, they will spread it on toast if disguised with plenty of garlic.

having thought about our finances overnight I have decided that enough is enough. I won't go looking for cheaper loans or credit cards for a while. Instead concentrate on paying off debts.

The first one is to my friend who has been suppplying us with lamb. I owe £105. I plan to put all the change I can find around the house in a jar and any savings I make to put the amount of the saving in the jar until I have enough to pay her.

I am waiting for a call back from our electricity company to discuss repayment options. It was booked for 10.30am.

Yesterday's foray for cash netted £4.65 :) In the lamb pot.

  • Sorry to hear Mr P is down again. I hope he manages to join in the festivities, but if not I hope you manage to have a good time with the family regardless.

All the best to you and the family for a wonderful and prosperous 2013 Xx

No phone call :( But I have another 65p for lamb pot :)
And DS2 has sold a set of wheels today so he can treat us all.:D

Mr P did join in last night.. I think it did him good to spend time with the family. We have been invited out to lunch today but he doesn't want to go. It is a huge party with a lot of people so I can understand him.
